A Whisper that went unheard novel Chapter 162

During lunch break, someone sent Krystal's pictures on the film set into the group chat. Tiffany showed them to Melody, who was momentarily stunned.

Krystal might've resembled Cheryl a lot, but they had completely different airs, distinct from one another.

Krystal made herself look particularly tender and gentle in the pictures, and she probably did it for video-shooting purposes. However, from the right angle, she looked exactly like Cheryl in some of the pictures.

"What are you looking at?" a clear and melodious voice suddenly echoed.

Jeremy was wearing a doctor's coat as he stood in front of Melody.

Melody returned the phone to Tiffany and softly responded, "The pictures from their video shoot."

But Jeremy didn't seem to be interested in it and simply said, "Let's grab lunch." He stood at the nurse station and looked directly at Melody, seemingly unconcerned about the looks they were attracting.

A lot of people cast glances their way, and someone even deliberately asked, "Did you come here just to ask Melody out for lunch, Dr. Chesson?"

Jeremy didn't shy away from the question either. "Yeah. I've been waiting for her," he said.

"So, things are going great between you two, huh? We'll get out of your hair then."

With that, Melody left with Jeremy to the cafeteria.

However, Melody only spoke up once they'd reached. She said, "Actually, you don't have to wait for me to have lunch."

Doctors and nurses were extremely busy to begin with. Normally, they would settle their meals as soon as they had some free time on their hands. On top of that, they usually wolfed their food down.

However, Jeremy had made a point to wait for her and use up his precious free time.

"I thought you'd like it," he said.

Melody couldn't decipher his tone, and she had no idea what he'd meant by that. She bit her lips, but no words came out. At the very least, she didn't want to fight with him at the hospital over these trivial matters.
