A Whisper that went unheard novel Chapter 181

Instead, Melody moved her belongings from the master bedroom to the guest bedroom.

The next morning, Jeremy waited for her so that they could go to the hospital together. However, Melody looked a little drained as she wasn't feeling well. Not to mention, she had barely gotten any sleep.

Tiffany was startled when she saw her. She asked, "What happened to you? Why is your face so pale?"

"I'm on my period, and I'm cramping badly," Melody weakly explained.

Tiffany knew Melody had this problem, so she quickly dug out two heat packs from the drawer and handed them to her. "Go and stick these on. I have a feeling it's going to get really busy today. Are you sure you'll be okay?"

"I brought painkillers, and it's not too bad right now either," Melody reassured her.

However, Tiffany turned out to be right. The department was indeed especially busy that day.

Although the treatment for the VIP patient mainly fell on Benson and another doctor, the whole department had basically gone into emergency mode.

On top of that, a dozen new patients were suddenly admitted, so it truly was a particularly hectic day.

Melody had to run around for most of the day.

She was still okay at first, but as time passed, her abdomen started to ache again. She only found a bit of relief after taking two painkillers.

Tiffany was worried about her, so she went and told Gwen about it. After that, Gwen allowed Melody to rest for a while at the nurse's station.

Melody had barely sat down for two minutes when Krystal and Caleb came over.

Krystal knocked on the reception desk and asked, "Why are you resting when everyone else is busy?"

Melody looked up. Her complexion was naturally fair, but now, it was clearly unusually pale.
