A Whisper that went unheard novel Chapter 208

The atmosphere in the room seemed to grow colder by several degrees.

Jeremy's cold gaze fell on Melody, his eyes dark and unreadable, like a black hole that pulled everything into it.

Melody was momentarily startled by his intense stare, but she soon regained her composure.

She wasn't someone who would force others to do things they didn't want. Lowering her gaze, she whispered, "You don't even like me anyway."

Jeremy always seemed irritated when they were together. Naturally, this left Melody discouraged.

But as soon as she finished speaking, Melody felt Jeremy's presence closing in. His cool, fresh scent surrounded her completely.

She blankly looked up, but before she could clearly see his face, Jeremy grasped the back of her head and pressed his lips against hers. Mixed in with the softness of his kiss was a sharp sting that spread from the corner of Melody's mouth.

Jeremy's grip on her waist and neck was strong, and it gave her no chance of escape. He kissed her roughly, and it was a kiss that was clearly fueled by anger.

At first, her words had merely irritated him. But that irritation gradually turned to frustration, and then outright anger.

Jeremy tightly restrained Melody, as if he were punishing her. There was none of his usual gentleness—only sheer dominance now.

Jeremy practically pressed himself into Melody. When her soft, sweet scent enveloped him, he only tightened his grip, unwilling to release her.

For the first time, Jeremy felt an overwhelming desire to mark Melody entirely as his own.

As Melody was being tightly held in his arms, she constantly struggled for breath, and her body would go limp from the lack of oxygen. Yet, each time she'd nearly slip away, Jeremy caught her again.

Then, she felt a sharp pain on her collarbone.
