A Whisper that went unheard novel Chapter 212

It was just a shallow cut and was likely from a blade earlier. It was nothing serious and merely a superficial wound.

Nevertheless, upon seeing the bloodstain, Jeremy frowned slightly in displeasure.

Ophelia also saw the wound and immediately turned cold. "Have you finished giving your statements? Hurry and clean that wound properly. Injuries can easily get infected on islands like this."

Eventually, Ophelia and Owen stayed behind to give their statements with two passersby who had helped call the police.

Meanwhile, Melody took Jeremy directly back to the hotel.

Even after carefully cleaning and treating his wound, she was still anxious. "Maybe we should go to the hospital. I'm worried the knife wasn't clean. You could get tetanus."

Ever since Jeremy had seen the blood on his arm, he'd become noticeably tense and hadn't spoken a word. Only after the wound was completely treated did his expression gradually relax.

He immediately stood up, walked straight to the bathroom, and started washing his hands. It was as if he'd touched something dirty.

Melody followed behind him and noticed that he kept washing his injury, so she quickly stopped him. "Jeremy, your arm is already clean enough."

But he didn't respond.

So, Melody had no choice but to turn off the faucet herself.

Only then did Jeremy lift his gaze to meet hers. His eyes, usually dark and calm, now appeared even deeper and harder to read.

Melody stared at his wet hands and felt an indescribable emotion in her chest. After a moment, she gently pulled Jeremy out of the bathroom and brought him directly back to her own room.
