Jeremy looked at Melody. "Are you feeling unwell?"
She paled when she heard his question, shaking her head in response. "I'm fine."
She merely felt nervous when she heard that Denvin had returned.
There was a quiet detachment in Jeremy's eyes, which were dark, cold, and aloof. However, she heard that he could become fiery when someone triggered him.
Then, she asked Jeremy, "I'm going back home for dinner tomorrow. Are you coming too?"
He nodded in response. "Yeah."
"How about we go together?"
"Sure," came his calm response.
Melody felt much better after he agreed to go with her. If worse comes to worst, she would stick close to him, which should keep Denvin at arm's length from her.
It was Saturday night, and she was just done with the photoshoot sessions at Alexis' studio. She dialed Jeremy's phone, intending to ask him where he was. Was she supposed to wait for him at her own place or the hospital?
However, Jeremy didn't answer any of her calls.
Melody checked the time and realized that it was still early. She decided she would head to the hospital and wait for Jeremy so that they could head home together. If she could avoid it, she didn't want to face the Wardolfs alone.
Alexis saw that Melody was leaving and informed her not to remove her makeup. She wanted to test how long the makeup would last. Alexis was more than a photographer; she also founded with her sister-in-law a cosmetic company that had been gaining a reputation lately.
When Melody arrived at the hospital, Tiffany swiveled around her, checking her out. "How fantastic! Mel, you're already splendid without makeup. Now that you are wearing makeup, you look even more gorgeous."
"Stop it," came Melody's hasty response. "You'll only cause the others to tease me."
"You're really pretty, to begin with. So, why can't I be honest? If you don't believe what I'm saying, feel free to ask Dr. Chesson," Tiffany replied teasingly and winked.
