Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 185

Betrayal At The Altar By Dolores Delia Chapter 185

Matthew stepped forward with a surprised smile on his face. He stood in front of Rachel in a humble manner.

Louis and Olivia were well aware of Matthew’s identity.

If not for the favor that Matthew had received from the Cruise family many years ago, Matthew would have looked down on the Cruise family, which was now on the decline.

However, his attitude towards Rachel, who came from the countryside, was so respectful. It was really thought–provoking!

“Oh, Miss Green is here as well,” Matthew greeted Mary with a smile.

When Mary saw Matthew walking out with Olivia, she believed that they were of the same stock and did not buy it.

Rachel nodded slightly. She glanced at Matthew and smiled. “Uncle Matthew, it’s been a long time.”

Who was Rachel Grey?

That was the treasure that the Johnson family held in their palms.

Initially, Matthew was prepared to be treated coldly, but he did not expect the other party to greet him in a friendly tone. Matthew was immediately flattered.

“Yes, yes, yes. It’s indeed been a long time. I thought that you had forgotten about me after so many years.”

“Uncle Matthew, you are too humble.” Rachel looked up and glanced pointedly at Louis and Olivia standing not far off. There was a

meaningful smile on her lips. “I’ll be leaving first. I won’t disturb you guys further.”

“Coincidentally, I’m leaving too. Do you want me to send you off?”

“Don’t bother.”

With that, she turned around and left.

Mary caught up with Rachel and could not help but say, “Why are you talking to him for no reason? Aren’t you afraid that he’ll let it slip?”

“He’s not stupid enough to offend the entire Johnson family,” Rachel said.

Her identity could not be exposed. This was what the Johnson family wanted.

Unless Matthew was bold enough to go against the Johnson family!

Mary pursed her lips and muttered indignantly, “As the saying goes, birds of a feather flock together. I think he’s venting his anger on Olivia!”
