"You shouldn't have bothered hon. You know I'll do it when I come back." Nora said as she entered the kitchen with three grocery bags and a wobbling Nano behind her.
"Honestly I didn't want to but Annie wanted us to do the dishes together." He pointed to Annie who was wiping her hand with a napkin.
"Hi." Annie greeted Nora.
Nora smiled at the sweet child who had captured her son's heart. After placing the grocery bags on the kitchen counter, She approached Annie and pulled her into a hug.
"It's nice to finally meet you, my child. Eric has told me so much about you. I hope you and this little one (She pointed at her belly) are doing great."
"Yes, ma'am. We're fine." She replied politely.
"Quit the formality dear. You're like a daughter to me now. You can call me Nora."
Annie nodded. She felt something tugging her leg; she looked down and saw it was Nano. She smiled and picked him up. He licked her face then cuddled against her chest. She smiled at him as she caressed his body lovingly.
"You know you are not supposed to lift anything heavy?" Eric groaned. Nora burst into laughter while Annie gave him the 'Are you serious look.'
"Calm down Eric, the poor thing isn't even up to fourteen pounds." Nora chuckled.
"Well, we can't tell." He shrugged, a bit jealous as to the attention Nano was getting from Annie.
"Hey, seems your daddy is jealous," Annie said to Nano. "How about we make him more jealous by taking a shower together then we can settle on the couch and watch your favourite movie." She teased, making Eric look like he was about to cry.
Annie and Eric finally settled for a movie after they took their shower. When it was almost lunchtime, Annie assisted Nora in making lunch after which She and Eric ate in the dining room.
Once they were done with lunch, the duo descended to Eric's bedroom to take a nap but they ended up talking about random things; one conversation led to another which made them take a thirty minutes nap.
In thirty minutes, Eric was awake. He knew Annie was tired so he let her sleep more while he used the bathroom and got ready. He finished all he wanted to do within fifteen minutes, then he woke Annie up.
"Annie." He whispered in her ear. "wake up, you have to get ready"
She tiredly opened her eyes and came across his beautiful ones. She smiled, then ran her fingers through his hair. She saw he was all dressed up and was thankful for the fact that he let her sleep more.
"You're looking more handsome than you were before we took a nap."
He smirked. "I'm glad you find me sexy."
Eric looked at his wristwatch then back at Annie. "It's almost time for dinner, you have to get ready."
He helped her get up from the bed and she went to change.
"I'm ready." She said to Eric as she approached him. He was seated on the sofa in their bedroom, waiting for her.
Eric looked up from his phone and was mesmerized by her appearance. He was proud of Annie, he was proud to know her, proud to know that she was the mother of their baby and hopefully his future wife.
Annie was putting on a green designer dress, matching heels which came with a sling designer bag. This time around her hair was in a presentable messy bun and she wore an earring that fits the necklace he gave her. She had minimal makeup on her face and she was glowing wonderfully well. Her dress showed a little bit of her cleavage and her curves.
Eric closed the gap between them "You look gorgeous, my Queen." He praised with a smile on his face as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
She playfully rolled her eyes at him. "You're such a tease."
"I'm serious Annie." He raised her chin so she would look him in the eye. "You're the most beautiful woman I've ever met. You're not only beautiful on the outside but also the inside." He said sincerely. She nodded slowly, biting her lip in the process.
"Has no one ever told you that?" He asked.
"Well if the compliments of my family, Staff, clients, fans and best friend counts." She whispered to him.
"Believe me when I say you're more than a goddess. I couldn't count how many glares I threw yesterday at those perverted men who couldn't stop checking you out at the event." Annie blushed.
"I don't know what it is about you, you make me feel special." She admitted.
