One month later.

After much contemplation, Annie decided to give in to Eric's plea and move in with him. It was a hard decision as she liked being independent but she decided to take the risk because of the love she has for Eric and besides, his mansion was more suitable to raise their baby.

Apart from that, Annie was already fond of Eric. She found it hard to sleep at night without his arms wrapped around her.

She had received a huge welcome party organized by Nano, Nora and her husband, Bernard. They were so pleased to have her as the woman of the house.

Annie and Eric's relationship have been full of nothing but love. There were times when Eric insisted on featuring in her YouTube videos. There was even a time he did a question and answer session with her; their fans went crazy, wanting to know how they met and if they plan on getting married.

The question and answer session was the longest video Annie ever put up on youtube. She and Eric tried to be as honest as they could when answering the questions posed to them.

They didn't answer all questions because some were personal, like the questions they got on Annie's pregnancy. Some people were asking if she was pregnant because of the way she was glowing and all but Eric and Annie did not respond to that.

There were times Eric would show up in Annie's Beauty House unannounced with Lunch. They would have lunch together and make small talk before he returned to his office.

Annie reached for her handbag, intertwined her hand with Eric's and made their way downstairs.

"Good morning." Nora greeted them with a smile.

"Morning."

"Good morning." They replied.

Eric took out a chair for Annie to seat and as soon as she was settled he took a seat beside her. Then Nora started serving them their breakfast.

Starting from the day Annie moved in with Eric, she had been eating more and healthier. Nora made sure of that and sometimes she would have lunch delivered to her at work.

"Annie I won't be able to join you for lunch today. I have a meeting I have to attend." He said nervously and she wondered what was making him so nervous.

"Sure no problem, Just for today right?" She pouted.

"Yes," he replied. She nodded and continued her meal.

They finished their breakfast in no time, said their goodbyes to Nora, Eric dropped Annie at her workplace before heading to his office.

He worked till a few minutes to lunchtime when he told his secretary he wouldn't be back until later in the evening.

He exited his company's building, got into his car and headed to the cafe to meet the people waiting for him.

"Hi, Angela. Good day sir." He greeted once he approached Annie's mother and stepfather.

"Hello dear." She stood up and pulled him into a hug; they officially met three weeks ago.

"Sorry I kept you guys waiting." He apologized.

"No need, Son. We just got here." David, Annie's step-dad said.

Eric let out a sigh as he took his seat. "I'll just go straight to the point. I'm in love with Annie and I want to ask for her hand in marriage. I know this may seem too soon but to make such a decision but I assure you I'm certain about what I feel for her and I know she's the one for me. I promise to take good care of her and our baby. She's my world and I cannot imagine my life without her. I'm here to ask for your blessings." He said sincerely.

Angela glanced at her husband then back at Eric. "You have our blessings dear. I couldn't have asked for a better husband for my daughter. I have no doubt you will take very good care of her."

She looked at her husband with teary eyes. "I can't believe my baby girl will finally find happiness, her dream family." She said and David smiled at her, remembering how Annie talked about finding Her Prince Charming, getting married to him and having beautiful babies.

"I want the two of you to be present when I propose to her. I want it to be a surprise so please let this be a secret between us."

"No problem Son, when are you planning on proposing?" Angela asked excitedly.

"Actually," He said as he playfully scratched the back of his head. "I want it to be as soon as possible. I'm thinking of Saturday which is three days away."

"Okay then. Let's know if you need any help in getting the surprise done." David offered.

"Sure, Thanks." He replied.

Eric called the attention of the waiter and ordered drinks. He told Annie's parents of his idea about the surprise which they seemed to be pleased with.

"Oh my goodness, this is the best news I've heard in awhile."

"Gosh, I can't wait to see Annie's face when you ask her to marry you."

"Honestly this is amazing. I'm so happy for Annie and you too Eric. You guys deserve all the happiness in the world." Ella said at a go.

After Eric left the Cafe, he came straight to his best friend's office. Dylan was happy to see him and he was even happier when he broke the news about wanting to propose to Annie.

"Honestly I was wondering why you did not do this sooner." Dylan teased as he wrapped his arms around Ella. They were seated on the same couch.

"Maybe I was scared."

She chuckled. "You wish. I'm sure he'll fire you first as his sibling because you're of no use." She glared at her.

Lucia was about to reply to Nora when Annie intervened.

"Thank you, Nora. I'll take it from here. You can go continue with what you were doing." She said to Nora who gave Lucia a spiteful glare before she proceeded to the kitchen.

"How may I help you?" Annie folded her arms.

"Oh, you can help me by telling my brother that he's not the father of the thing you're carrying. You can help me by telling Eric that you're a gold digger who's only interested in his money and you can help me by leaving my brother the hell alone so he can finally find happiness."

Lucia has been bitter since she overheard her mom talking to Elaina that Eric was planning to propose to Annie. Since then, all she could see was red. Annie was always winning but this time, she wasn't going to let her.

Annie replied with anger "First of all, my baby is not A THING and you know what? Eric is the father and there's nothing you can do about that. I'm with him not because I'm a gold digger but because I Lo......Ouch..." She screamed as she held her lower abdomen with her right hand.

"Ouchhhh." Annie screamed again as her leg gave up and she landed on the floor. Tears were streaming down her cheeks. The pain in her abdomen was getting unbearable.

"H..help..me plea.please." She managed to say to Lucia who hissed at her.

Nora ran out of the kitchen into the main entrance which led to the staircase. Lo and behold she saw Annie on the floor; a few steps away from the staircase, with her arms around her belly.

She ran to her and crouched beside her. "Oh My God, Blood." She said in shock as she discovered Annie was bleeding. The pink nightdress she was putting on was stained with blood.

"Help me carry her, please." She said to Lucia who was standing there looking unbothered about what was going on. "We need to get her to the hospital."

"What? Me? Help her? No way."

"Why are you so cruel? can't you see she's bleeding? Just do something good for once in your life." Nora screamed at her as tears rolled down her cheeks.

"I don't have time for all this drama. You know what, I'm out of here." She said and turned around.

"Please Lucia. We need your car to get her to the hospital. Please, Julius is not around to drive us and I can't drive, neither can my husband." She pleaded with a soft voice.

"Sorry I can't. I have a date and I don't want to be late." She said then stormed out of the mansion.

"S..sa..Save my b..Baby.." Annie said tiredly, her eyes slowly closing on their own.

Nora took out her phone from her pocket, dialled 911 and shouted at them to come as fast as possible.

Next, she called Eric to inform him about the situation.
