Chapter 2 Nephews
Joana was so frightened that her legs went limp. Jason's eyes were red, and his face was covered with blood. He was exuding cold vibes like a demon from hell. So, she didn't dare to move for fear that he would hurt her.
But Rejoyla was unaffected. She raised her eyebrows and flamboyantly smiled, "Nephew, are you so eager to greet me? But I didn't prepare a greeting gift for you because I didn't know I would have a nephew. You can rest assured. I will prepare gifts for you on holiday in the future. After all, I am your aunt now!"
Rejoyla laughed wildly at heart, thinking Jacquelyn had chosen a good husband this time. Karma was a b*tch. Rejoyla had held back her anger for years but vented it all out today. Now, she felt refreshed and ecstatic.
The Sterling family had always looked down on Jacquelyn and her family, but they could not help admiring Rejoyla's courage. But she was courting death! They could even imagine the bloody scene later.
Jason unblinkingly stared at Rejoyla as if he wanted to freeze her soul. Rejoyla rolled her eyes, thinking this pervert was just trying to scare her. So, she widened her pretty eyes to glare at him. Then, they fell into a stalemate.
After a while, he sneered and returned to the previous lazy state. When he turned his head, he saw Sherry slump on the ground. So, he helped her up, brought her to Rejoyla, and domineeringly said in a clear and cold voice, "Baby, come here! Let me introduce you to my new aunt."
When Rejoyla squinted at Sherry's eyes which were somewhat similar to hers, a knowing look flashed across her face. Many years had passed, but Jason had not moved on from his relationship with Louisa yet.
Seeing Jason had calmed down, William quickly cleared his throat and said, "Jason, hurry up to treat the injury. You must take it seriously. After all, it's on your head."
After finishing speaking, he glared at Frank.
"Yes! Hurry!"
"You must take the injury on the head seriously. You'd better take an X-ray right now."
The women of the Sterling family hurriedly persuaded Jason to go to the hospital. In their eyes, his health was more important than Burton's wedding because he was his only grandson. Anyway, Burton often got married. It was OK to miss one.
Those women had arrogantly ignored Rejoyla just now. Seeing them carefully surrounding and gently talking to Jason, she finally understood why he had grown into such a pervert. The Sterling family was spoiling him. Ignoring his family members' concerns, Jason stubbornly held Sherry's arm and stared at Rejoyla with his dark eyes.
The situation became a stalemate again. The Sterling family, who were worried about Jason's injury, began blaming Rejoyla. Being stared at by so many people, Rejoyla couldn't help feeling ill at ease.
"Rejoyla?"
A warm and soothing male voice broke the deadlock. Brady walked to Rejoyla and said, "I did not expect to meet you here!"
