"Looks like you have some beef with Heidi, Helena, Sarah, and Janice," Zedrick mused. "In that case, I shall take care of every one of them for you."

Amelia turned down his offer. "That's unnecessary!"

All she wanted was to take revenge against Simon and make some money for Adam while she was still alive. She did not want to get involved in any more trouble.

By now, she had realized that she was no match for Edward's family and influence. Besides, Janice was in the right in their conflict.

Amelia had been let down by people, and she had been humiliated by Edward. She sacrificed a lot just for survival, but at the end of the day, she had nothing.

More importantly, Edward would stay in Greenfield City for life. If she crossed Edward in any way, he might take it out on Adam after her death.

She was content with receiving her monthly supply of medication from Edward's men.

She had been traumatized by Edward, a gentleman who could be skillfully ruthless. After he released her, she realized that he had given her no good reason to file a police report against him.

Besides, Edward had dirt against her. He knew she had hired a driver to run Janice over. Hence, she dared not do anything foolish to hit back against him.

"Tell you what, Zedrick. Stay out of my business. I want to stay away from trouble. Don't make decisions on my behalf."

Confused, Zedrick asked, "Do you not want revenge after they bullied you?"

He had looked into everything that had happened to Amelia in the past year.

Amelia wasn't in love with Simon. However, in her quest to get her pill supply, she inadvertently got into trouble with Janice.

Zedrick did not want to press Amelia for the details. One thing was for sure—he was the one who ruined Amelia. Hence, he wanted to exact revenge on Amelia's bullies before he passed away.

Right after Amelia made herself clear, she was reminded of Zedrick's personality and his style. He was not one to change his mind when he had set his mind on something.

She knew she'd be screwed if Zedrick messed around with Edward. What if he failed to hurt Edward and offended him?

"My beef with them is for different reasons. I've only ever had two enemies who actually wronged me."

Zedrick wasn't surprised by her revelation. "Let me guess—Simon Fitzgerald and Heidi Ryan?"
