She gingerly held onto the car door and slowly settled herself inside. 

Her knees and ankles were throbbing with pain, but she bit down on it, maintaining her polite and aloof demeanor towards lan. 

“Sorry to bother you, Mr. Raymond” 

The faint smell of blood lingered in the air. 

After saying that, she worried about disturbing lan’s work, so she quietly sat in the corner and kept silent, 

From the moment she got into the car, lan’s gaze had been fixed on her knees. 

Her knees were still bleeding, a long wound visible, and her ankles were red and swollen. 

If it had been any other woman, they might have lost control of their expressions due to the pain. 

However, Maja just took a small, quiet breath and kept her gaze focused ahead. 

The car quickly passed by where Connie was. Coco, who was with Connie, was too conspicuous for lan to miss. 

He couldn’t help but ask Maja, “Where were you rushing off to?”

He rubbed his temples, finding it a bit amusing. He didn’t need to ask her if she needed help, his time was valuable and he had never been particularly helpful. “Jeff, drive.” 

Jeff, sitting in the front seat, had originally thought that he would at least get out of the car to help her, but hearing him say that, he could only step on the gas. Maja entered the hospital alone, had her wound bandaged, and came out with a crutch provided by the hospital, looking somewhat weary. 

She was supposed to attend a banquet tonight, but could she go in her current state? 

Holden planned to introduce her to others in the circle tonight. If she showed up like this, it might only embarrass him. 

Maja regretted, she shouldn’t have been in such a rush to see lan. 

She called Maria and asked her to send someone to pick up Coco, while she considered how to reduce the swelling in her ankle quickly. 

She hadn’t injured the bone and should be able to endure wearing high heels. 

She quickly hailed a taxi back to Rosewood Manor.
