Chapter 13
Astrid used to be obsessed with racing cars for a while to reduce stress, so she learned how to modify cars. The car she drove today was modified by herself.
The speed and performance of the car were much better than Philip's.
Astrid was way ahead from the start, and her car was at a very high speed. She held the steering wheel with one hand and rested on the window with the other. She looked so calm that it seemed like she was just playing a game.
Philip thought Astrid was about to overturn, but Astrid drifted neatly and left Philip further and further behind.
"What the hell? That's impossible. How does this woman do it? How could she pass such a sharp turn at such a high speed?"
"She's a freak."
"Philip has met a pro. Astrid looks weak, but | didn't expect her to be so good at racing. When she arrived she was only driving at around 60 mph when the road was clear."
"| thought she was a noob, but | didn't expect her to be a pro."
“Don't be so arrogant, Astrid!"
Philip floored the gas pedal, picked up speed, and pinned Astrid’s car outside the guardrail. If Astrid couldn't get her car out of such a position, then she would fall over the cliff or she would have to surrender before the next turn.
"That's just dirty. Philip needs to be taught a lesson."
Astrid's face turned cold. She continued to speed up and ran straight toward Philip's car at the next turn.
"Are you crazy?"
Philip was taken aback. Astrid was risking her life to attack him.
"Coward."
Philip was too frightened to confront Astrid head-on, so he slowed down.
Astrid smiled. When she passed Philip, she gave him the finger. At the same time, she quickly made the turn. Not a lot of people would dare go at the speed that Astrid was going at. She didn't only maintain her speed, but made the turn as well.
That was how a pro did it. It was like dancing on the wire rope blindfolded!
After one lap, Astrid returned to the starting point first and won with ease. She got out of the car and leaned against the side for five minutes before Philip's car returned.
Josh couldnt believe Astrid had won, and she won Philip by skill.
"Are you really Astrid?"
Since Josh learned about Astrid from Lilith, they felt she had changed after divorcing Blaze.
The former cripple who had been useless was now so talented.
"I've helped you this time for Baxter's sake. Get your phone out and delete my number right now."
“I'm not thanking you for this."
Josh knew Astrid was being serious. She didn't want to have anything to do with him at all.
At that moment, Philip got out of his car with a dark face.
