Chapter 4

After Astrid and Eddy got out of the car, they headed backstage through the VIP access.

Kevin Williams, the general manager of this big show and the fashion director of the Unique Beauty Company, ran toward Astrid as soon as he saw her. He hugged her and was even planning on giving a kiss on the cheeks.

"You're so heartless. It's been ages since you last spoke to me. It's so hard to meet you, but you are still as cold as usual. Do you know how much I've missed you?"

Kevin looked heartbroken and distressed.

“I'm here to help you out now, aren't 0?" Astrid said and pinched Kevin's face.

Kevin had delicate facial features and often made people think he liked men.

“Alright. Go put on your makeup. | specially prepared a set of clothes for you. | give you my word that you'll look excellent in tonight's event."

Kevin couldn't wait to see Astrid's stunning look. He wanted to let everyone know her beauty and be crazy about her.

"Me?"

Astrid didn't like things that took a lot of effort. If it weren't for Kevin, she wouldn't have come tonight, let alone appear in front of the cameras.

“Astrid, your birthday's coming up. This is my gift to you. | hope you'll like it.”

Kevin and Astrid met at a design competition. The two of them soon became close friends.

Kevin would personally design something for her every year.

“Alright. As long as it makes you happy.”

"Honey, you're the best."

Kevin breathed a sigh of relief. He was really afraid Astrid would refuse his gift.

Meanwhile, the host outside had started the countdown.

The models were already in place. The show was divided into four sessions, each of which had three series, and each series had five sets of clothes. This totaled 60 sets of clothes and they were all designed by Astrid.

Blaze originally didn't want to attend such an occasion as he had been in a really bad mood recently.

"Blaze, this show is the first display of my idol, Oli, after disappearing for three years. Why do you look so unhappy?” Althea saw the look on Blaze's face and wanted to draw his attention.

Her major was fashion design at university and she really liked Oli.

Blaze didn't want to bring Althea with him at first. However, since he was divorced, he didn't have another choice.

After Blaze divorced Astrid, he didn't want to see Althea anymore. He used Althea as an excuse to break up with Astrid, but now, he was no longer interested in Althea anymore. She was scheming, and he knew that.

"Do you have a problem with that?" Blaze asked nonchalantly, not giving Althea the attention she wanted.

"No, | don't. But you must keep your word.”

Althea had asked Blaze before to introduce her to Oli. She was afraid that he had forgotten.

Althea felt that if she could be connected to Oli, she might win a reputation too. This was not an opportunity she wanted to lose out on.
