He never takes his eyes off my weapon. "You wouldn't dare."
"I'd shut up if I were you. You can't get out from the window anymore."
He looks at me like I've lost my mind. "I don't know what you think you'll accomplish with that, but-"
"Plenty." I swing the pillow to prove my point.
He looks straight into my eyes, unflinching. "Try it."
I'm ready to try it, I'm ready to smack him with the pillow, but I give up. I'm just too tired to fight anymore. I slide my back against the wall, sitting down beside him. I hold the pillow against my chest and rest my head on it. I just want to sleep.
"Are you done?" he asks.
I want to strangle him. We sit in silence. Every time my head nods off, I snap back up, holding the pillow closer.
"Just go to bed," he says.
I shake my head.
"Why?" he asks.
He should know. It's the reason he's still here. The same reason why he came to my house in the first place. He's got something he wants to say, and if I go to sleep now, he'll never tell me.
"Hey," he says out of nowhere.
I crack an eye open. "What?"
He looks the other way. "I'm... sorry."
"What?" I snap my head in his direction. It feels like the whole world is moving.
"What I said on the phone. I didn't mean it."
I look up happily. Finally, he admits it. I knew he would.
"I'm just stubborn and can't say how I feel." He looks at me.
I shake my head, moving closer to him. "It's okay. I know." I smile, resting my forehead against his.
He closes his eyes. "I'm sorry. I don't know what's wrong with me."
"You don't have to apologize for who you are." I kiss his cheek again and again. "I love you enough to forgive you."
"Really?" he asks.
I squish his face. "Of course, my cute Aiden. How could I stay mad at you?"
"Good." He smiles. "Now get off of me."
"Nope, nope." I rub the tip of my nose against his. "You're just too cute."
"Get off of me."
I wrap my arms around his neck, but then his words start to make sense. "Wait. What?" I look into his eyes.
He's no longer smiling. The happy rainbows and hearts aren't dancing around us anymore. The dream's over. The room's pitch black, and he looks really irritated. "What's wrong with you?" He moves away. "I said get off of me."
I fall onto the bed. My pillow falls on top of me. "Hey." I push it off, glaring at him.
