Ditched Cheating Alpha, I Led My Daughter to Life's Peak novel Chapter 8

A week later.

Half a world away.

The sea breeze was crisp, carrying the scent of salt and freedom.

The moment my father saw me step off the plane with Rhea, his eyes widened in shock.

"Grandpa!" Rhea squealed.

"My little wolf!" My father, a retired Alpha, scooped her up and twirled her in the air. "Did you miss me?"

Rhea giggled. "Of course! Mommy said we're going to live with you now and eat all your food for free!"

My father laughed, his deep voice echoing through the house.

That night, after tucking Rhea into bed, he turned to me with a serious expression.

"Mia." His voice was firm. "What happened with Tobias?"

I took a deep breath.

Then, I told him everything.

By the time I finished, his face was grim.

Finally, I smiled bitterly.

"Dad, we were both too stubborn back then. We made a mistake."

"Tobias never truly wanted me. I forced something that was never mine to claim."

"I tried, I really did. But if his heart isn't with me, then I'd rather let him go."

I exhaled.

"Besides," I continued with a small smile, "I'm good at business. Find me a company here, and I'll make my first million in a year. I don't need anyone's help to raise Rhea."

My father sighed, his eyes filled with regret.

"It shouldn't have turned out like this."

He rubbed his temples. "Back then, I tested Tobias. I know he had feelings for you. What the hell happened?"

I gazed at Rhea's sleeping face, my heart calm.

"Maybe he did care, once."

"Otherwise, he never would have agreed to marry me, no matter the circumstances."

But feelings fade.

And Tobias had let his die.

The next morning, my father wasted no time.

He enrolled Rhea in the best school and made all the arrangements for our new life.

Meanwhile, I took over part of the family business, diving into work to forget the past. He also planned to give the Moon Light Pack to me to manage. I am now the Alpha heir to the Moon Light Pack.

Two weeks later, I received an unexpected email.

From Jack—Tobias's Beta.

"Luna, I don't know if you'll see this. I tried every way to contact you, but I think you might have erased your identity.

"You don't know this, but Alpha Tobias has been losing his mind these past few days."

I frowned and read on.

Tobias had finally taken Sable home from the hospital.

Then, he rushed back to find Rhea and me.
