Natasha said, "It has nothing to do with Mr. Foster. It was entirely my fault for being careless."
If she had blocked the door with something, it wouldn't have closed by itself, and neither of them would have been stuck in the cold.
After Natasha persuaded him, Xavier finally left.
"Mr. Foster, are you insisting on staying here because you have something you want to tell me?" Natasha asked with a hint of anticipation.
She wasn't sure why she felt that way, but it seemed to grow the more she sensed it.
It was only then that Zachary could sit down and explain everything to her.
However, as he was about to speak, he couldn't help but hesitate. "There's surveillance on the ship that recorded what happened between Matthew and me. You're also a victim in this. Mr. Anderson gave me all the footage, and I want to give it to you now."
In other words, Natasha now held Matthew's fate in her hands.
"Why are you giving it to me?" Natasha asked in confusion.
After all, Matthew was part of the Foster family. Zachary hadn't even fought back during their earlier fight, yet now he was handing her such important evidence.
"Whether it's because of this incident or to take revenge for the seven lost years, I'll help you do it," Zachary replied.
He was indirectly offering her an opportunity for revenge. If Matthew ended up in prison, he'd be locked up for at least ten years, and Nicole would no longer be able to marry into the family. It was killing two birds with one stone.
Natasha responded, "Let's keep the footage for now. I don't plan on having him imprisoned for life."
That would be far too lenient of her. In fact, the incident showed that Matthew never took anyone's life seriously.
"By the way, how did they find us?" she asked.
Zachary then explained, "Julian noticed I was missing and went back to the ship with some people. Xavier called you, and they located us by following the sound of the phone ringing."
