Chapter 11
Chapter 113
“Why don’t we dine together?” Joycelyn suggested
When Leon saw Joycelyn speak, he immediately pulled away from Ellison’s arm in disdain and walked up to Joycelyn, his smile becoming even more radiant. He gentlemanly made an inviting gesture and said, “Mrs. Grant, please. Let me carry your handbag”
With that solicitous and fawning attitude, those who did not know better would think that the Davey family had fallen from grace and that Leon had turned to using his looks for gain and becoming a lackey.
Faced with such an enthusiastic young man. Joycelyn was somewhat unable to handle it.
After Leon took the shoulder bag she was holding, Joycelyn linked arms with Ellison and walked into the restaurant.
Leon had been blocked for a long time and was not allowed to enter. With Joycelyn around, he snorted at the manager and immediately cleared the way ahead.
Ellison’s face darkened as he stared at Leon, wishing he could burn a hole through him with his gaze.
That guy was so caught up in playing the charming lackey that he didn’t notice Ellison’s sharp gaze, yet Joycelyn was amused by
and kept laughing. Ellison wanted to speak, but he hesitated.
Haddy caught up, helplessly patted Ellison’s shoulder, and comforted him in a gentle voice, saying, “Sorry. I didn’t manage to stop him. I’ll figure out a way to get him out of here later.
Ellison didn’t respond. His cold, aloof expression was shrouded in silence, and he was holding back his anger.
The restaurant was covered with a layer of red rose petals from the entrance.
Joycelyn took off her sunglasses and looked at the rose petals on the floor.
The air was filled with the sweet scent of roses. It was extremely dreamy to walk on them.
Outside the window was the most dazzling and bustling nightscape of the city. Coupled with the fiery red glow, it was shockingly beautiful.
Joycelyn had never thought that her first date was so rushed, yet so stunning.
She thought, ‘No wonder he held me up for an hour at home before leaving. This must have been a last–minute arrangement.
Joycelyn could not help but exclaim softly. “It’s so beautiful. So gorgeous.” She then turned around and looked at Ellison with sparkling eyes
Ellison could clearly see the love and touched expression in her eyes. Before he could speak, Leon, that chatterbox, started babbling away.
“Wow!” he said. “Good lord, no wonder the manager stopped me from entering. He carried Joycelyn’s shoulder bag over his shoulder, took out his phone, and started taking photos.
“Bro, I didn’t expect that as someone who’s usually reserved and never shows emotion, you’d act so flashy when you finally do,” he continued. “Oh wow, there are red roses all over the floor. There’s even a symphony orchestra waiting. Oh my!”
Leon, with just his mouth, completely ruined the romantic atmosphere.

Chapter 113
“Keep it down!” Ellison said through gritted teeth.
He really wanted to throw that guy out.
Unexpectedly, Leon, who was tall and had long legs, was agile.
He immediately jumped away, not giving Ellison any chance to act, slippery like an eel.
“There’s no one else here, so it’s fine,” Leon said. He then walked over to the long dining table by the floor–to–ceiling window. where a huge bouquet of red roses had been placed. He immediately called Joycelyn over to take a look.
“Mrs. Grant, Ellison gave you red roses. He truly lives up to being a dominant CEO. They’re all over the floor, and he even gave you such a big bouquet. Wow.” Leon clicked his tongue while admiring
“Bro, how come you are so good at this?” he continued. “No wonder you have a wife. I’m so jealous Leon, with his stunning, mischievous young face, looked neat and handsome.
But as soon as he talked, his speech sounded innocent on the surface yet might be subtly manipulative, passive–aggressive, or even deceptive. He was like a male version of Blair Waldorf.
Joycelyn was initially self–conscious, but she was extremely amused by him.
The first time they met, she found this guy arrogant, giving off an outlandish air of a scion.
But now, she found him so childish that it was both laughable and annoying.
Joycelyn looked back at the man behind her and sweetly smiled as she said, “Such beautiful flowers. Are they for me?”
“Yeah.” Ellison walked forward and looked at the woman beside him with her clear eyes that carried shyness and timidity. Before he could say anything tender and romantic, that chatterbox Leon started blabbering again.
“Come on, give her a kiss!” Leon began to tease.
Hearing this, Joycelyn blushed and immediately lowered her head, not daring to meet his gaze again.
Easily embarrassed, she was feeling very shy.
Ellison pursed his lips so tight that his jawline tensed up. His blue eyes coldly glanced at Leon as he said, “Do you believe that I’ll open the window and throw you out?”
“Oh dear, you’re so fierce, Leon said. “I’m so scared.”
Ellison was so angry that he was left speechless.
His fist had tightened.
Joycelyn kept laughing to the point where her shoulders couldn’t help but tremble.
Looking at the exquisite and delicious gourmet food on the table, she said, “Looks great. Let’s dig in
Leon suddenly bent down, leaned in close to Joycelyn, and said softly, “Mrs. Grant, how many dates have you been on with my buddy?”
Joycelyn was stunned for a moment. She was reticent for a long while, not answering the question.
“Could this be your first date?” Leon raised his eyebrows with a mischievous smile.

Joycelyn nodded gently

That guy’s social butterfly tendencies kicked in again. He immediately acted as if he owned the restaurant and said, “Ellison, it’s your first date. Let me give you some pointers. You two eat. I’ll just stand nearby and serve you. Haddy, find a spot to sit
Ellison could not take it anymore. He immediately grabbed Leon by the back of the neck from behind and tightened his grip, making that guy cry out in pain.
“Bro, I was wrong!” Leon immediately stopped blabbering to avoid making things worse and begged for mercy.
Joycelyn mvited Haddy and Leon to join them for dinner, saying, “Have a seat and let’s eat together. We’ve ordered so many dishes, so let’s treat it as dinner for our first meeting
“Sure thing,” Leon said. “Mrs. Grant, you are the thoughtful one, unlike Ellison… Ouch! He almost dropped to his knees in pain.
What was supposed to be a romantic first–date dinner ended up turning into a group meal of four people.
Ellison’s face was extremely grim.
