“Miss, what would you like to say?” asked Andre kindly, his voice carrying a calm authority. 

The media reporters in the room grew curious at the sudden ingerruption. 

They had been under the impression that Professor Hayes was Ruby’s mentor. ‘Did Professor Hayes, perhaps, not recognize Ruby in the crowd without his reading glasses? Or was he intentionally addressing the situation this way? they said inwardly. 

“Professor Hayes, I’ve heard that this student, Joycelyn, is quite amazing, Ruby said, her voice dripping with feigned sweetness. “Why don’t we let her tell us directly about the capabities of the Grant Group? PowerPoint presentations and dry data are too vague. Let’s hear from her.” 

Ruby held her phone tightly and looked at Joycelyn provocatively
