Joycelyn’s phone call to Ellison had just connected, but Tommy snatched the phone from her and hung up, saying, “You’ve had too much to drink. Let me bring you somewhere to get some rest. He pulled her up to her feet with a lusty leer in his

Joycelyn was beside herself with dizziness. She wanted to defend herself, but her words were choked in her throat, and the anger of being disrespected and set up burned in her chest. Her body, in stark contrast, seemed completely drained of strength. 

Joycelyn kept glancing down the hallway, willing for Aurelia to appear and come to her rescue, but to no avail. Tommy and Octavia had soon dragged and pulled her along to the lift lobby. 

Joycelyn could tell her chances of escape were getting slimmer and slimmer, and a deep sense of dread and fear overcame her. She realized that she could only count on herself, and she would protect herself by any means necessary. 

With that thought in mind, Joycelyn promptly bent over and started puking. 

Octavia was immediately disgusted and withdrew her hands from Joycelyn, quickly pushing her into the elevator with Tommy. “She’s all yours now, Mr. Cross.” 

Tommy didn’t seem too fazed by the vomit. He helped Joycelyn stay on her feet in the elevator and told her to try and hold it in. Joycelyn ignored his advice and continued spewing bile. 

As soon as they stepped out of the elevator, Tommy held on to Joycelyn’s arm and dragged her to the hotel room. “Baby, you must be feeling terrible. Wait till I take care of you, you’ll feel much better soon.”

As soon as they both got into the car, it pulled out of the lot with screech, exiting the office building and weaving in and out of rush–hour traffic at an eye–watering speed. 

The whole time, Ellison continued to maintain a cool expression on his face, but his deep–set eyes darted all around his surroundings, completely focused on getting to his destination. 

It should have been at least a thirty–minute ride in rush–hour traffic, but he had cut that in half. At such a dangerous speed, more and more traffic police cars began getting on their tail, demanding that they pull over. 

All the warnings were ignored as the Bentley screeched to a halt at the hotel lobby, and Ellison swiftly got out of the car by himself. His passenger, William, looked a little worse for wear, and even felt a little carsick. 

He realized that Ellison had brought him along for the ride so that he could deal with the traffic police in his stead. 

In the hotel room, Tommy threw Joycelyn onto the king–sized bed and began to undress himself, despite the traces of vomit on him and the acrid smell in the air.

With glossy eyes and flushed cheeks, she slowly sat up on the bed and propped herself up with her hands. Her lips curled into a seductive smile that accentuated her defined features. 

Tommy gobbled up the sight of the beautiful, sexy woman on the bed right in front of him. His eyes were opened wide and entirely awestruck. 

Joycelyn saw her chance and cooed, “I need to take a shower so I can get rid of this smell and gunk. Be a good boy and wait for me.

Joycelyn held back her disgust. “Where’s the fun in that? I’ll be out before you know it, so get ready for me here,” she said with a sultry lilt in her voice. 

Before Tommy could make a move, Joycelyn slipped quickly into the ensuite bathroom and locked it. Tommy tried to follow right behind but realized the door was locked and pleaded, “Baby, hurry up, I can’t wait any longer.” 

“I will,” Joycelyn reassured him before turning to the sink and turning on the faucet. She splashed her face with cold water and rinsed her mouth. Her cheeks were still red, and her lips were quivering in panic. As she looked around the bathroom, her eyes soon landed on the hairdryer. 

She picked it up and felt its weight in her hand. “This will do,‘ she thought. 

She’d never crossed blows with a man before, and she could feel her heart beating faster all of a sudden. She tightened her grip on the hair dryer and swung down with it several times, trying to get a feel of it.
