Chapter 163 Game Limits
“Eating in–game gives you the sensation of being full, but it doesn’t actually affect your real body,” Louis explained.
“So even if I stuff myself before logging out, I’ll still be hungry in real life?” Freya’s eyes lit up. “Does that mean I can eat all the virtual food I want without gaining weight?”
“Assuming you can afford it,” Louis said dryly.
Freya deflated. The prices are outrageous–one Credit for a cup of tea, and their recent meal cost a whopping 120 Credits. Even though I know that isn’t sustainable.
Louis showed her more of the city’s landmarks, each uniquely beautiful enough to be postcard–worthy. Just as she expected him to lead her to another city or the wilderness, he stopped and ruffled her hair.
“Time’s up. We need to log out.”
“What?”
I’d barely seen anything!
“There’s a daily play limit–two hours max. During testing, one hour is the safe threshold.” Louis gestured for her to open the menu. “Staying longer could affect your health.”
Not willing to risk it, Freya reluctantly hit “Exit.” The world faded to black.
When she opened her eyes, John was lifting the pod’s lid. Micky rushed over, vibrating with excitement. “Freya! How was it? Amazing, right?”
“I got robbed,” she groaned. “10 Credits gone.”
Micky blinked, then grinned. “Oh! The Oblista pickpocket? That’s actually a rare encounter! You’re lucky!”
“Rare encounter?” Freya perked up. “What’s the reward?”
John looked envious. “A special title. For female players, it’s ‘The Fairest Among The World. For males-”
“The Handsomest Man Among The World“?” Freya guessed.

“Exactly! And every NPC will address you with that title. Pretty cool, huh? Micky added wistfully.
Freya sighed. “Where’s Louis?”
“Next room.” As if on cue, Louis entered. “How do you feel?”
