Freya raised her hand and waved at Louis, then pointed at Kendrick and mouthed, “Kendrick is still streaming.”

Louis nodded, then motioned for her to come over. Freya pointed at herself, “Me?”

The big boss nodded again. Freya had no choice but to step out quietly and walk over to him. “What is it?”

Louis pulled a box of pastries out of the drawer. “Derek bought these this morning. Want one?”

Freya glanced at the packaging and realized it was the ridiculously expensive cream puffs she’d been wanting to try forever. Of course she had to say yes. She nodded eagerly, but just as she picked one up, she thought of Kendrick. “Should we bring one over for Kendrick too?”

“Don’t worry about him. He doesn’t like sweets.”

“Oh.” With that, Freya dug in without hesitation. She devoured two in a row and thought the remaining two were hers as well. But to her surprise, Louis picked one up and popped it into his mouth. She quickly grabbed the last one and took a big bite.

Louis looked at her and felt like her bright, sparkling eyes were practically shouting–This one’s mine; you’re not getting it.

They were meant for her anyway, but after watching her eat so happily, he couldn’t help wondering just how good they really were. In the end, it was watching her eat them that made them seem delicious.

Freya finally finished the last puff, nearly choking on it. Louis handed her a glass of juice right on cue. “If you’re busy, just take this with you. I’ve got work to do on my end.”

She didn’t bother being polite. “Thanks,” she said, then carried the juice back to her desk.

As she came in, Kendrick glanced at her and didn’t think much of the juice in her hand. But once she sat down, it hit him. Wait, that juice isn’t for me?

“Hold up, Freya. That juice isn’t for me?”

“Nope. Louis gave it to me. Don’t you already have water?” Freya looked

fused. “Why?

Since when did Derek bring Louis breakfast again? Kendrick remembered Derek had stopped doing that ever since Louis started cating at home.

Kendrick was more confused than ever–until it finally clicked. Louis had saved it for her on purpose, using breakfast as nothing more than a cover. Hmph.

Meanwhile, Kendrick was busy for both of them, getting nothing in return–not even a lousy drink. Unbelievable.

As if he hadn’t seen Louis slipping her those pastries earlier.

The viewers in the livestream were losing it; they had all caught what Freya said next: “Louis said you don’t like sweets. I thought you didn’t drink this kind of juice either.”

“Haha, I don’t know why, but Kendrick trying so hard to look all cool and badass is suddenly hilarious. She’s right–our Kendrick doesn’t like sweets. Our Kendrick likes eating dog food!”

“My heart breaks for Kendrick. Louis totally threw his little brother under the bus. Not just the food–he didn’t even leave him a sip to drink, I wish we knew what Kendrick’s feeling right now. What’s it like to be ditched by your not–blood–but–better–than–blood brother for his girl?”
