The first table was massive, packed with key players–assistant directors, production managers, the producer, and lead actors. Freya sat sandwiched between Daniel, the head writer, and a stranger, her discomfort carefully masked.

Daniel had sized her up the moment she walked in.

Assistant screenwriters are usually forgettable–either hopeful talents shadowing me, emergency backups, or ghostwriters foisted on me by studios. But this morning, Zane’s call changed my expectations. He said that this one’s different. Teach her if I want, but don’t piss her off

The stranger–Thomas Langford, the supporting actor who’d made Kendrick frown–didn’t bother introducing himself. In his mind, his fame preceded him. Anyone in the industry would recognize him, especially in Zane’s team.

Besides, after getting to the team, Zane will send the name list to important crews. So even if the crew doesn’t recognize the actors, they will at least know the basic info about the actors. I one of the lead actors also, of course the others will know about me.
