“With me around, you can afford to be a little spoiled.” Louis nodded to the bellboy to press the elevator button before asking Freya, “Which floor?”
“Sixteenth floor, room 1608.” Freya turned her face awkwardly into Louis‘ chest.
This man really knows how to make a girl’s heart race.
She needed to remind herself.
This is just Louis being nice. Don’t read too much into it.
Louis carried her steadily all the way to room 1608 before saying, “Get the keycard and open the door.”
Freya fished out her keycard and unlocked the door. Louis didn’t set her down until they reached the sofa.
Just when she thought he was about to leave, Louis closed the door behind them and walked back. “Do you want to change into pajamas?”
“Huh?” Freya blinked. *How did we jump into pajamas?*
Louis patiently explained, “At home, you always change into pajamas the second you walk in. Shouldn’t you do the same here?”
Okay, yes, but that’s when I’m alone! The idea of changing in front of him was way too embarrassing.
Seeing her hesitation, Louis glanced around the room–tidy enough, no pajamas in sight. He strode to the closet and pulled out a long–sleeved pajama set.
“Here,” he handed them to her. “I’ll use the bathroom.”
With that, he gave her privacy.
Freya hesitated for all of three seconds before deciding.
Screw it, I’m uncomfortable in these clothes.
She trusted Louis enough to change, though it took longer than usual with her injury.
“I’m done,” she called toward the bathroom, holding her discarded clothes.

Louis emerged and promptly took them from her–only to toss them in the trash.
“Hey! My clothes!” Freya stared in shock.
Why would he just throw them away?
“There’s a tear near the knee. We’ll buy new ones.” Louis said it like it was obvious. “You packed extras, right?”
That tiny hole? You could barely see it! But now that they were in the trash, what could I do? Dig them out?
“…I have others.” Freya pouted without realizing it.
“Good girl. I’ll buy you more later.” Louis ruffled her hair again. “What do you want for lunch?”
Freya belatedly shielded her head.
Since when did he develop this hair–touching habit? Is he treating me like some little sister substitute?
“I kinda want chicken chop. Can’t cook here, so… delivery?” She pointed at her bandaged knee for emphasis.
Louis bit back a laugh at her pose–one hand guarding her head, the other pointing at her injury, tilting her head at him. “Chicken chop it is.”
I wanted to take her somewhere nice, but this injury ruins everything. With all those dietary restrictions now, takeout was safest.
“Are you… staying?” Freya ventured cautiously. *He’s not leaving?*
