Chapter 250 Husband Goals
With the intent of helping Freya gain some recognition–and making things easier for Zane -Clara chimed in with encouragement.
“Freya, you should take the role. I didn’t see it at first either, but now that Mr. Zane mentioned it, you really do suit the part. Just imagine–you in the witch’s costume, you’d be a real–life version of her.”
“Right? Right! I knew it–Freya is perfect for this role.”
Violet, who had overheard bits and pieces nearby, walked over, intrigued. After catching on to what they were talking about, she joined in.
“Now that you mention it, I totally see it too. You really do fit the character. Why not give it a try? It’s such a great role. Even if you never act again, this could be something special to remember–just give it a shot.”
Clara, not one to fall behind, kept smiling as she added,
“With Mr. Zane here, you’ve got nothing to worry about. Just follow his direction, and the crew will take care of the rest. You don’t have to do anything else. Seriously, why not try?”
That part about keeping it as a memory touched Freya. As a modern novelist and writer, who hadn’t played out scenes in their head like a wannabe actor?
She herself often acted things out alone at home when she had time.
Still, she wasn’t a professional actress and had never performed on screen before. What if I can’t pull it off?
It had always seemed easy from the outside, but now that she’d spent time on set, she knew it was anything but. Freya started to hesitate.
Seeing the hesitation, Zane felt a spark of hope.
“No rush. Think it over–I’ll go shoot the next scenes with the others in the meantime.”

“Alright. I’ll think about it, but first. I get back to you as soon as I can.” Freya was clearly tempted and gave a half–nod of agreem

Freya couldn’t focus on the script anymore. She got up and went to find Louis. She’d only come on set to work with the actors on the script; Louis was still working in the same spot he’d been earlier.
“Everything sorted with the cast?” Louis paused his typing as she approached.
“Yeah, it’s done. But I need to talk to you about something.” Freya sat down beside him.
“Mr. Zane wants me to play a character in the show. It’s the previous leader of the demon cult -basically, the witch. She’s beautiful, really cold in personality, and doesn’t have many scenes. Mr. Zane hopes I can step in as a cameo.”
Louis had never wanted to interfere in Freya’s career–unless she was in danger or facing real trouble. Even when it came to acting, he never tried to stop her, even if he didn’t love the idea of the world seeing her beauty.
Still, being an actor came with complications. If she really planned to go down that path, he’d need to talk with Kendrick and help her chart the right course; he’d want to ensure she became famous smoothly and safely.

thinking of becoming an actress?”
“No, I don’t think acting suits me, and I’m not planning to go that route. It’s just that the character is needed, and she doesn’t have many lines. But she is important. Mr. Zane says I’m a great fit, so I’m just thinking about it.”
She rattled off several reasons, but the truth was–she wanted to do it. Louis suddenly asked something else.
“Why’d you come back to ask me?”
about it.
Freya found the question odd. “You’re my husband. Of course I should talk to you Besides, we’re officially in a relationship now. And you’re a public figure–if someone finds out I took a cameo, it might affect you too.”
Louis reached over and tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
