Chapter 317 What Should I Call You 2
“In the future, I’ll probably be introducing you to others like, “This is my husband, or ‘My man,‘ or ‘My other half. And when we’re old, I might even start calling you ‘the old man at home.‘ Hahaha.”
As Freya laughed, the stiffness on Louis’s face finally eased up. He let out a helpless sigh. “Fine. It’s all up to you.”
What else could he do–blame his parents for giving him a name that didn’t sound endearing enough?
And he couldn’t bear to blame the woman in front of him either. He could only accept it.
“But I still want to call you boss in private. You really are impressive.” Freya got excited, clenching her fists and raising them beside her cheeks like she was sparkling with admiration. Her expression was impossibly cute.
“Boss, you’re so amazing! I really admire you!”
Louis’s gaze darkened. He couldn’t take it anymore. He grabbed her waist and pulled her in for a kiss.
“Mmph-” Freya’s eyes flew open wide, and her cheeks started burning.
When he finally let her go, he didn’t immediately pull away. Instead, he brushed his lips softly against hers. The atmosphere turned thick with tension and something else entirely. Thankfully, he backed off in the end.
Freya quickly sat up straight and pretended to be serious, picking up a cup of water to drink like nothing had happened.
Louis didn’t bother pretending. He just reached out and hugged her from behind. “Why are you always so easily flustered? Still not used to it?”
Or maybe, he thought, he should stop going slow and just move faster instead of waiting for her to catch up.
“Dating is a process of getting used to each other,” Freya managed to say, barely getting the
words out..
“Alright.” Then he’d just keep waiting.

Chapter 317 What Should I Call You 2
Breakfast was lavish. Marilyn wasn’t sure what they wanted to eat, so she’d made a variety of things. Freya ate to her heart’s content. She planned to do more shopping later that morning while Louis had to head to work.
“Wanna come to the office with me?” Louis asked as she finished her soup. He just wanted to spend more time with her.
Freya thought about it. She didn’t really have a reason to stay at the villa, so she nodded. “Sure.”
Marilyn noticed how well the two of them were getting along and felt genuinely happy for them. Freya changed clothes–just a light touch of makeup, but she still looked radiant as she headed out with Louis.
Today, Louis wasn’t going to Yusheng Group. He was headed to the research institute. After passing through multiple layers of security, he brought Freya back to the same front hall she’d been to once before.
“Oh my god, Freya’s here too! Long time no see. You’re looking better than ever. Seriously, you just keep getting prettier. No wonder the boss wants to rush home every day. Sigh. As a single man, I am deeply jealous. I think I need to take some time off–go find myself a girlfriend before I can worry about building my career.”
“You can’t chase after love without a career. Love is a high–level spiritual enjoyment built on financial security. Get real, man.”
“Exactly. You don’t have the boss’s looks, talent, money, or charm, and you still want to find a girlfriend? Have you lost your mind? Maybe all this brainpower you’ve been using fried your common sense?”
“I think it’s the hair loss. He’s probably panicking, thinking if he doesn’t hurry and find someone now, once he
goes
bald, no one will want him.”
“Oof, that one hurt. I never said I wanted someone like the boss’s wife! Did you guys have to roast me this hard? I just want a girlfriend, is that so wrong?”
“We’re just helping you face reality, man. All out of love.”
Freya felt like every time she came to this research institute, it was a laugh riot. “Hi, everyone.”
“Hey, sis–in–law!” The group stopped roasting their buddy and greeted Freya with big g voices in sync.
