he Brothel Bug
The two of them had been swamped with business lately, so it was rare to see them online. Freya didn’t think much of it and accepted their team request. In the next second, they teleported directly in front of her.
Did you guys just choose the teleport option?” Freya asked.
The game had a “sworn brothers” feature that allowed players to form a bond with up to ten others. Freya was currently part of Louis’s sworn team. Normally, Kendrick and Baylon didn’t always hit her up whenever they were online–so what was with the urgency today?
“Freya, what’s going on here? You’re looking pretty lucky. Triggered a brothel encounter already?” Kendrick gave her a full up–and–down scan the moment he landed, then checked out the surroundings once he confirmed nothing suspicious had happened.
Baylon wasn’t as obvious, but he still subtly swept his gaze over Freya and the environment.
As a novelist with an active imagination, Freya immediately understood Kendrick’s implication.
“What, you thought I came to a brothel to mess around or something? Wait–how do you guys even know about this?”
“We saw the announcement as soon as we logged on. Said you triggered the first brothel encounter,” Baylon replied with a shrug. Since Freya clearly hadn’t done anything, he relaxed. Not that he had been too worried to begin with.
“You’re telling me not only did I trigger the brothel encounter, but I was the first one?” Freya was baffled. Then another thought struck her.
“Hold on, I’m supposed to be in even open to the public yet!”

Kendrick and Baylon exchanged looks.
“How should we know?” Baylon replied.
“Maybe it’s a bug,” he added.
“Or maybe this is one of those exclusive encounters that let your sworn teammates in too,” Kendrick guessed.

Chapter 320 The Brothel Bug
“Forget it. We’re already here, might as well test it out. I just stepped into this place called Red Sleeves Pavilion, tripped and fell, and suddenly landed in this encounter. I didn’t even get a good look at the actual brothel yet.”
Since Freya didn’t know what to expect either, the three of them went back into Red Sleeves Pavilion together.
This time, the scene inside was completely different. Now it really looked like the kind of brothel Freya had always imagined–lavishi, rowdy, and packed with entertainment. There were men enjoying themselves with women dressed in all kinds of flashy outfits. Some had two or three hanging off them at once.
And it wasn’t just men with women–some female characters had several handsome young men around them, and others had buff dudes gathered in groups, chatting and laughing like everything was perfectly normal.
Kendrick snapped his jaw shut and muttered, “Well damn. This game is really gender–equal. But Freya, is this seriously where you came?”
Freya waved her hands frantically. “No no no! The Red Sleeves Pavilion I entered before wasn’t like this at all. Everyone there was super proper! Micky and John swore they were legit. They said brothels were all about elegance and the arts!”
God only knew how this turned into… this. The outfits and behavior here were enough to make her blush.
“Okay, but like, what’s the point of this encounter anyway?” Baylon asked, looking around. “Aren’t brothels in TV dramas always full of people calling out to customers? Where are the NPCs? There’s no one trying to greet us.”
