Chapter 331 Sports Day Plans
If other kids had it, then Aiden deserved it too. Freya knew she had to talk to Louis. Work could wait–what mattered most was Aiden. His well–being was the top priority.
“It’d be great if both of you could come, but it’s fine if it’s just one,” Aiden said. He didn’t actually expect Louis to show up–he couldn’t even picture what Louis would look like at his school’s sports day.
“Alright, I’ll talk to your uncle and see if he can free up some time,” Freya replied. She was already thinking about what she’d do if Louis couldn’t make it. At the same time, she needed to do a little homework on what these events involved–what to expect, what to bring, and how to act.
Aiden skipped off to check out his room, leaving Freya scrolling through articles on her phone.
He was in a good mood. Last year, Louis couldn’t come, so Marilyn filled in. It wasn’t unusual -plenty of kids had an aunt or friend show up instead of their parents. Everyone understood. Still, if you had a choice, who wouldn’t want their own family there? It just felt different.
Later that evening, when Louis came home, Freya brought it up over dinner. Aiden, trying to sound casual, said, “Only one parent has to go. If you’re busy, Uncle, Freya can come with me.”
“I’ll make time,” Louis said with a quiet sigh. He’d actually meant to go last year, but something came up last minute and he missed it. This year, he wasn’t going to let that happen again.
Aiden couldn’t hold back his smile. “Okay, it’s settled.”
Freya placed a shrimp ball in his bowl. “Eat up.”
Aiden scooped up his food faster than usual, his mood noticeably lifted. Freya smiled, watching him. What kid doesn’t like having their family around?
That Saturday, Louis stayed home from work. After breakfast, the three of them headed to Aiden’s school together.
Aiden assumed Louis would lead to the office first and show up just before the event started. The fact that he was coming with them from the beginning made Aiden even happier.

Chapter 831 Sports Day Plans
Freya hadn’t been back to the school since she helped Aiden enroll. Compared to last time, the place was buzzing. Families filled the sidewalks, walking in with their kids, chatting, and laughing. It was the kind of wholesome energy that warmed your heart.
“Aiden!” a sweet little voice called out from not far away. Freya turned toward it and saw a cute girl rushing toward them–practically glowing with excitement.
Freya melted. She had zero resistance to adorable kids–and Chloe Sanders, in her pink outfit with rosy checks and a bright smile, looked like a walking cupcake.
Aiden, however, clearly didn’t feel the same. “Ugh, why are you here so early?”
The annoyance in his voice was impossible to miss, and Freya gently nudged him. “Hey, that’s not how you talk to a little girl.”
“Good morning. Aiden!” Chloe chirped. “I knew you’d be here early. When you posted in the class group chat that your uncle and your aunt were coming, I just knew it! I wanted to be the first one to say hi. Did I make it? Am I first?”
Before Aiden could even reply, she kept going.
“I made the model you talked about! I asked my parents to get it for me the second I got home, and I already finished it. Pretty cool, right? So stop saying I’m slow–I just need a little more time to catch up! Also, I found something super fun online. I bought two, so I’ll give you one when they come!”
“My uncle has tons of money now. I can buy whatever toys I want. I don’t need you to get me anything. Give it to your desk mate–his parents just cut his allowance, didn’t they?” Aiden clearly wasn’t interested.
