Well then, the child of a big shot was destined to be a future big shot. A mere mortal like her had better keep her opinions to herself.

The moving truck arrived quickly, but when it came time to actually pack, Freya realized they didn’t have much to move after all. Most of the belongings were actually things she’d bought, and the majority were daily necessities. It wasn’t until Aiden gave Louis a look to intervene that she gave up on bringing things like oil, salt, soy sauce, and vinegar.

Luckily, most of the clothes and handbags that used to take up her entire bedroom had already been sold off. What remained was just slightly more than the average woman’s wardrobe, so moving it wasn’t too bad.

The new apartment was located in another neighborhood not far from the old one. Overall, the security and environment were noticeably better. Once inside, Freya took a quick tour of the place and, with her background in design, had to admit Louis had chosen well.

The apartment had only the most basic renovation, but the minimalist black, white, and gray color scheme was exactly her favorite. It was timeless and pleasing to the eye. Even the furniture matched perfectly. Best of all, there was a swing on the balcony–a small wish of hers come true. Now she could swing and read whenever she wanted.

“Wow, this place is way better than the old one. I love it!” Aiden stood in front of a slightly smaller bedroom, gazing at the single bed and the tall bookshelf.

“I love it too,” Freya chimed in as she glanced at the fully equipped kitchen.

Louis strode across the floor with his long legs, directing the movers to put things in their designated spots. When his eyes passed over the one big and one small pair looking so content, they momentarily softened. Then he turned back to manage the workers.
