The bridesmaids tried on their dresses and the men tried on their suits. The women would wear peach while the men would wear grey suits with peach bowties.
“I love the dresses so much! As usual, you have a good eye for beautiful things, Lora,” Bianca exclaimed and Diane agreed with her.
“That’s right... the dresses are comfortable and easy to dance in. I can’t wait to see your wedding dress-“
“I’m the only one seeing the wedding dress, the rest of you can see it on the wedding day,” Ryan remarked, his words making Diane pout.
“That’s not fair, bro. You guys saw our dresses,” she complained.
“That’s because it’s our wedding and we need to make sure you guys look good. As for the bride, I’ll help her choose the wedding dress she likes,” Ryan proclaimed.
The rest of the guys chuckled. Adan said, “I guess we are no longer needed here.”
“We still need your opinion on the wedding cake. So you can wait as I try on the dresses and then we can pick the cake,” Lora replied.
She glanced at her uncle and asked, “Are you ok, Uncle?”
“How can I be ok when you asked me to dance? You know I have two left feet,” Aiden replied with a frown on his face.
“What?” Diane exclaimed and broke into laughter. “Oh my God... indeed, God doesn’t give everything. You’re so handsome and rich but you can’t dance.”
Aiden glanced at Diane and arched an eyebrow before asking, “And you can do all things?”
“Of course! There’s nothing that I can’t do,” Diane responded confidently.
“What about holding your liq-mmmm,” Aiden released muffled sounds when Diane suddenly clamped her hand over his mouth.
“What about holding what?” Ryan asked.
Diane chuckled awkwardly and replied. “It’s nothing. He’s just teasing me.”
She turned to look at Aiden and realised she had accidentally made him kiss her hand.
Pulling her hand away like he burned her, her cheeks flushed pink, her heart pounding erratically in her chest.
Lora watched their interaction with a grin. She looked at Ryan and whispered, “I think my uncle likes your sister.”
Ryan furrowed his eyebrows and said, “I don’t think so.”
“Just look at them... you can see in the way they look at each other,” Lora replied.
Ryan turned to look at the two and he frowned when he saw his sister acting like a shy teen girl.
“There’s no way I’m allowing that,” Ryan declared and Lora rolled her eyes.
“Don’t tell me you’re still overprotective over your sister. She’s thirty-one. She can date,” Lora pointed out.
“And your uncle is your agemate. He’s younger than her... Diane needs a man in his late thirties to put up with her,” Ryan remarked.
Lora chuckled before turning to look at Adan and Bianca who seemed to be engrossed in their own conversation.
She let out a sigh and said, “I guess I should try on the wedding dress now. Come and help me.”
Ryan smirked and quickly carried the dresses to the fitting room. From there, Lora tried on the first dress and looked in the mirror.
It was a princess ball gown but it wasn’t too busy. The bodice had tiny diamonds embroidered into the dress in floral patterns and it only had thin straps and no sleeves.
“Beautiful,” Ryan gulped, glancing at Lora through the mirror. “You look like my wife.”
Lora’s face flushed and she bit her lower lip. She loved the dress too.
“Let me try the other one,” Lora remarked and Ryan helped her with the second dress.
However, this particular dress was a bit revealing.
It had a thigh-high slit with a large cut-out on the back.
