Invincible Heir novel Chapter 61

But Baron ignored them and kept walking, with his usual tranquility.

The first man nearly managed to reach Baron, but he was ricocheted off by a powerful force. He flew out, knocking over several men behind him, then fell to the ground.

It was only then that they realized the first man was kicked away by Baron! What a powerful kick!

In fact, Connor was even more shocked. The scene brought up some memories that the same thing had happened to him. Last time at Blue Sky Kindergarten, he had been kicked hard like this.

Baron didn't kill anybody, but he kicked away anyone who tried to attack him. Not long afterward, dozens of men fell to the ground, screaming and begging.

Even dozens of his men couldn’t hurt him. That was probably one of the most unbelievable things Connor had ever seen.

Connor, Lucy, and the crowd were all stunned by what they saw. This was unbelievable!

Led by Baron, Yuri felt happy and reassuring. Unaccountably, next to Baron, she was no longer afraid of anything.

Connor was trembling from head to foot. She finally realized that Baron was far stronger than Charles!

Baron stepped up to Connor. “Do you still want Yuri to spend a night with you?” He snapped.

Connor stood motionless, stunned. Upon hearing this, he shook his head quickly and said,” No, no! I’m not stupid enough to do a thing like that! You must have misheard.”

“Do you still want to chop my hand?” Baron continued with a sneer.

Connor was frightened out of his wits. He could feel cold sweat trickling down. Wiping away his cold sweat, he shook his head and said, “I'm not, I'm not. I promise!”

“But your wife hit my mother-in-law and took something from her. What're you gonna do about this?” Baron said with a smile, which made Connor’s hair stand on end.

Just then, Connor turned around and smacked Lucy right across her face. He shouted, “You son of bitch! Just look at what you’ve done! Kneel and beg Mr. Owen to forgive you!”

Without her husband’s support, Lucy was scared. She fell on her knees and begged to be forgiven, “Mr. Owen, I was wrong. I shouldn't insult and hit your mother-in-law.”

As she spoke, she began to slap herself. The loud slaps echoed around the hall.

Lucy was genuinely fearful, or she wouldn't have slapped herself so hard. Soon, her cheeks were reddened and swollen.

“You need to be honest with me and I will let you go! Tell me what the hell happened between you two!” Baron said.

Lucy stopped slapping and told the truth.

It turned out that Lucy had her eyes on Sherry’s Jade bracelet, so she walked right into Sherry and broken her own bracelet deliberately. That way she wanted to get Sherry’s Jade bracelet in compensation, which finally caused the dispute.

Connor grew angry as he knew the truth. Lucy was his wife and a key member of the Johnson family, and she could get whatever she wanted. Why would she do something like this?
