"William, I'm putting my foot down today," Patricia declared, her tone sharp. "I've already taken the wedding gift that is worth 300 thousand dollars. If you know what's good for you, you'll marry Abigail off to the Collins family right now. Otherwise, I'll die right here in front of you."

When neither William nor Adela budged, Patricia dramatically made a move to throw herself against the wall.

Patrick quickly grabbed her, shouting, "Mom, you can't do this. Sure, William has always been disobedient, but if he doesn't listen, we can let the Collins family deal with it."

William's expression darkened. Patrick was clever, he had to admit. Patrick planned to let the Collins family take action, avoiding direct conflict while causing chaos for William's family. Everyone knew the Collins family were nothing more than thugs in suits—reckless and lawless. If they got involved, peace would be a distant memory.

Ryan, meanwhile, took the chance to jab a finger at William's nose, yelling, "Look at what you've done to Mom. William, if you had even an ounce of decency, you'd do what she says. Marry the girl off. If you don't, the Collins family won't take this lying down."

Patrick chimed in, backing Ryan up, "Exactly. Three hundred thousand dollars is no small amount. Most families couldn't afford a wedding gift like that. If you let this slip by, you'll regret it. Besides, women only lose value as they get older..."
