“Chief Thorne, it’s fine if you don’t come out. As long as you hide in there, I’ll wait out here,” Cyrus sneered. “Boys, set up camp!”

One by one, the Gloam Wing soldiers pulled various equipment from their packs, assembling tents with practiced efficiency.

Delmont watched them, fury boiling within him, but an overwhelming sense of helplessness weighed on his heart. He couldn’t make a move. One wrong step and the thousands of villagers in Thorneville would face utter destruction.

“Delmont, all our outside partners and suppliers have unilaterally terminated their contracts.” Alton rushed over, his face a mix of anger and worry.
