Mr. Norman, She's Out of Your League Now novel Chapter 38

As soon as Liam, Estelle, and Lydia appeared, Henry felt his heart skip a beat.

He hadn't expected Liam and Estelle to return so soon—but word had clearly spread. Brian showing up at the shareholder meeting in a wheelchair that morning had stirred more than a few whispers.

Henry quickly stepped forward to greet them. "Mr. and Mrs. Norman."

Kayden also called out, "Grandpa, Grandma, what are you two doing here?" Lydia, on the other hand, was completely ignored.

Liam gave a curt nod in response before leaning down to scoop Kayden into his arms. "We came to check on your father. Where is he?"

Estelle's tone was more urgent. "I heard Brian was injured. He showed up at the shareholder meeting today in a wheelchair—what happened? Why is he hurt?"

Her concern was clear, but there was an undeniable edge of accusation in her voice.

Lydia was equally anxious and asked, "Where is Brian?"

Henry had been expecting this moment. Brian had known that once news of his condition got out, Liam and Estelle would come looking. So, he had prepared Henry for this exact conversation.

"Mr. and Mrs. Norman, please come inside and sit down. Let me explain everything." He led them into First Villa.

While still holding Kayden, Liam settled onto the couch, waiting for Henry to speak.

Henry didn't waste time. He gave a concise explanation of Brian's condition.

Estelle shot to her feet the moment she heard it. "What did you just say? Brian lost his sight? And you're only telling us now?"

Liam, though less frantic than Estelle, frowned. "Where is Brian?"
