"And me too," Celina added.
"What happened to you Beatrix? Who did it? Do you remember? Why...."
I didn't hear anymore and shut my eyes. It was too hard to take in what Eddie was trying to say with my head pounding. Rose helped me by voicing out, "Alpha, I believe Beatrix is still in not a quite suitable condition to discuss about what happened. I'll treat her further and when she has at least recovered a bit, I will get you."
I heard Eddie sigh and made a move to leave the room. I opened up my eyes after they left and mouthed a thank you to Rose for helping me. I totally remembered everything that had happened but I couldn't possibly tell my brother about it. Calvin was my mate after all even if he had hurt me and I wouldn't want him to be punished.
"Do you need anything, Beatrix?" Rose asked me and I shook my head.
"Rose," I called after a moment, "Why am I so weak? It was only an arm scratch right?" I asked because I could really feel myself getting weak that I couldn't even pull myself into a sitting position.
"That is also something I'd like to talk to you. Your face is getting paler compared to since two days ago when they found you. Your heartbeat is also actually getting slower. You are very very weak, my dear and I do not have any idea why or even how. I didn't tell anyone yet as I'm trying to work on some medicine for you. Do you want to tell me what exactly happened Beatrix, because I could sense something," Rose spoke.
"I don't remember much," I said. "There's this black wolf wanting to get me and by accident scratched my arm that night," I told her, not practically lying.
"Anything else?" I shook my head and she continued, "Then I must have thought and sense wrongly."
"What were you thinking?" I asked, throat drying.
"Oh nothing. Just that, years ago there was this couple and they were mates. The female wolf father happened to be a bad guy and he helped hunters, to kill the werewolves and the alpha, who was the female wolf's mate, got angry. They wanted to settle it for once and the alpha wanted to murder his mate's father. When he was about to stab him, his mate came over, blocking her father and the knife pierced right through the female's wolf shoulder. For all we know, the knife wouldn't be able to cause death and being a werewolf, we could all heal it faster than humans. But the female wolf died from it. It was then said that, the female wolf died because her wolf was hurt from being hurt by their own mate and the female, she just gave up from the pain. In conclusion, what I am trying to say is that, the reason you are so weak might be because you're being hurt by your mate. Mates cannot hurt each other and if they did, something that causes bleeding, may cause fatal. Have you found your mate, Beatrix?"
