"I of course am angry right now that you lied and also because that little piece of your mate had hurt you. But right now, with you in this kind of condition, I suggest you to meet him. We're werewolves, Beatrix. We're supposed to heal fast but you're not, because you don't have your mate by you," Brody continued.

That night, I was visited by Jean. Calvin's sister. It had been a long time since I hung out with her or just accompany her play with her dolls.
"Hello Beatrix," she said and climbed on the chair next to my 'sick' bed.
"Hello Jean," I replied, smiling.
"When are you going to get off the bed?" she asked.
"I don't know yet," I answered, "Rose, the doctor said I will be under bed-rest until I recover."
"Can you please recover fast so that you can play with me? Mom and Dad are always busy. Sean has Lana and Calvin has Valerie. No one wants to play with me," Jean complained. She was the youngest in the pack the other children were about 0 and above, leaving her being the only 5 year old.
"Okay, I'll try to recover fast and spend time with you," I told her, "I promise."
"Thank you Beatrix," she thanked me sadly and climbed on the bed next to me to give me a small hug as she rested the side of her head on my chest. My hands instinctively went to hold her head there, giving some strokes until the door burst open, revealing someone I didn't want to see.
Jean propped her head up and from her voice I could almost see her eyes lit up, "Calvin, you came!" Jean jumped down the bed and went to hug Calvin's knees.
"Jean, I'm here to see Beatrix. Can you let me talk to her personally first and then I'll put you to sleep," Calvin said, rushing his words as he kept exchanging glances between me and his sister.
"Promise?" Jean asked, sullenly.
"Promise," Calvin said and kissed her on the forehead.
"Okay," Jean mumbled.
"Oh and do not let anybody know that I am here okay?"
"Why?"
