My Mate Had A Girlfriend novel Chapter 48

Matt didn't hesitate this time and he spilled everything that he thought was useful to the pack. Alpha Eddie didn't interrupt him. "She and the vampire, which is the head of the rogue are friends - don't ask me how because I don't know. I ever accused her of being a traitor and the next thing she did was she freed me. She said she stole the keys. She freed me but before that, she made me promise that I would tell you people about it and save her and the rest who are still under the rogues' captured." And then, he turned to Valerie, "Your brother, Jayden is still with them."

"You mean he's not dead too?" Valerie cried. Matt shook his head. Now, I felt like everything was falling down on top of my head. Valerie now had her mate and was gonna have her brother back while my mate were gone and I no longer have the close relationship with my siblings.

"Everyone, meeting room now and someone go get Alpha Brody!"

Matt had been gone for two days now and there wasn't any news that my pack were gonna come to save me and the rest. I wasn't expecting to have a big announcement that my pack was coming; just some signs and alert.

Or did Matt not manage to get to the pack house safely? For all I know, Matt could have died halfway home because of the amount of blood he had lost.

On the other hand, I haven't been talking to Gabriel a lot and it was making me feel even worse. Carlos had been eyeing me since the day he accused me. Sometimes, he would just get angry for no reason and came to just slap my arm or worse, he would get to the other prisoners and whack them for no reason. The one that my heart couldn't take it was when he had slapped Jayden and Belle.

I was starting to feel that I had done the wrong thing. If Carlos wanted to hit, let him just hit me and not the other innocence people in the prison. They don't deserve this; they didn't deserve to be captured.

I walked towards the room where I know Gabriel was in, together with Carlos and their other men. I prayed in my heart, hoping that this time, it was a right decision to make.

I knocked softly on the door and the next second, someone opened the door. The moment Gabriel saw me, he smiled, "Come on in Beatrix."

"Are you being fucking serious right now? Nobody enters this room whenever we're having meeting!" Carlos blared.

"I said, she can come in," Gabriel repeated, "It can also mean that meeting is over and everyone is dismissed."

I got in, ignoring Carlos' eyes that were burning into my soul. I stepped closer to Gabriel who then stood up and wrapped one arm around my waist. He was still smiling and I actually wished that he was Calvin.

Closing my eyes, I tried to erase Calvin's face in my head, I said, "I have to tell you something."
