"Just... don't forget to buy ice-cream for Jean," Beatrix said and just like that she was out of sight. I followed her out and out of the cottage. From afar, I saw her wolf running back towards the pack house and I hoped that was where she was headed to.
I remained standing at the door and torn between staying to get all of the things done and going after Beatrix.
If I leave, then Matt would get angry at the innocent Valerie for not getting me finished up all of the work. If I don't leave, Beatrix would get a rather much wrong idea than she already had.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to look at Valerie's concerned look, "Go."
And just like that I was in my wolf's form trying to catch up with Beatrix.
Beatrix
Nothing else was my mind. I didn't even have any directions to follow or any places in mind to go. I just let my wolf took over and let herself bring me to wherever she wanted to be.
Of course, she brought me home. Without changing back to human, we went up the stairs and ignored everyone else's calls and up into the room. I quickly changed into my human self and locked the door. And right after, I plopped down on the floor sobbing.
I couldn't believe I had let myself fall for Calvin's actions again. He was clearly lying to me. He didn't want me. Who was I kidding? He had been living as Valerie's boyfriend for much longer than he had ever known me.
Even now that Matt is back with Valerie, her feelings for him might not be there anymore because she have been spending the other rest of her time loving Calvin as her boyfriend.
And I realized one thing; I let Matt off too soon.

"Beatrix, Beatrix. Can you please open the door and let me come in?" I woke up to a vague sound of someone knocking on my door and I heard Jean's voice.
I was cold and when I got up from my lying down position, I realized I was still naked and on the floor. My eyelids were still heavy and I wanted to sleep but the sound of Jean crying just outside of my door made me quickly dressed up in my pyjamas and opened up the door.
