Read My Past is Just Prologue By Louisa Dillon Chapter 125 – He Cares

Nathaniel’s face darkened unconsciously.

Alfred observed the situation silently from the side, understanding what was going on.

Seeing that Janet was about to go far away from that man, he immediately followed them, pretending to chat casually. “Ms. Longfellow, what a coincidence! Where are you going so early?”

While they were talking, Nathaniel had already caught up with them, unhurried. Janet glanced at Nathaniel, who was still looking at his mobile phone, and smiled politely at Alfred, “I’m sorry, but I can’t tell you my private schedule.”

“Many entrepreneurs have come to Austin to participate in the New-Media Industry Convention recently. Ms. Longfellow, are you also here for it?” Alfred was not discouraged.

As they spoke, they had already walked to the elevator door, and the elevator happened to come.

Janet took the lead to enter the elevator, turned to Alfred with a faint smile, and asked, “What do you think, Mr. Whitehead?” Alfred wasn’t sure what to say, but judging from Janet’s expression, he knew she didn’t intend to reveal her schedule.

Alfred thought for a while and stepped into the elevator. Nathaniel was the last one to go in.

Nathaniel’s eyes were only fixed on Marco for a second, and then he looked away.

Alfred knew his boss the best. He knew what was going on when he saw Nathaniel’s cold face.

It seemed that for Nathaniel, it was not important what Janet was going to do. What was important was the identity of the man beside her!

So Alfred changed the topic, looked at Janet and Marco with a smile, and asked, “This gentleman seems to be very If I remember correctly, Ms. Longfellow came alone yesterday. Who are you?”

Marco was about to speak, but Janet interrupted him.

She glanced at Nathaniel, whose face was dark, and said to Alfred smilingly, “He is my companion.”

This term was very subtle, so much so that Nathaniel’s face turned even darker when he heard it.

Companion? What kind?

Nathaniel held back the urge to ask, clenching his fists tightly.

unfamiliar.

The atmosphere of the elevator was too scary, so Alfred didn’t dare to ask any more questions. Then the elevator went down all the way, and they didn’t speak anymore. They just went to the hall on the first floor in silence.

Just as they walked out of the hotel, a limited-edition Rolls-Royce Phantom stopped at the door. A middle-aged man came

down.

The man wore a suit and a pair of white gloves in his hand. When he saw Janet, he respectfully greeted her.

The person beside him replied in a low voice, “She is so young. If she isn’t from a top family, then… she should be a mistress or something!”

Because it was a malicious guess, she deliberately lowered her voice, afraid of being heard.

Another person retorted, “I don’t think so. Didn’t you see her sassy vibe? She must be a young and promising female entrepreneur!”

Janet heard all these discussions, and she smiled without saying anything.

If a little malicious speculation could affect her, she would not be Janet!

As a bodyguard and secretary, Marco naturally had to be responsible for Janet’s safety. He looked at Earl warily and said to him, “Ms. Longfellow has her private car. You don’t need to pick her up.”

Hearing this, Earl smiled and said, “It was Ms. Longfellow’s friend who arranged for me to pick you up. Please accept the

kindness.”

Hearing this, Janet was a little confused and could not help but be curious.

She did not even know that she knew any of the organizers.

My friend? Who?
