Janet raised her eyebrows slightly. Even if he was a bad person, she was not afraid.

“Marco, get in the car!”

Janet made a prompt decision. She would know who her “friend” was when they arrived at the Convention.

Nathaniel watched Janet get in the car, and his face instantly darkened.

He couldn’t tell what he was feeling in his heart. He thought Janet had never known so many big shots and that he was the only person in her world.

Now… Perhaps he lost her, or perhaps it was because of something else that he didn’t want to see Janet get along well with others, whether in business or in life.

Seeing that the director’s car was getting farther and farther away, Alfred couldn’t help reminding Nathaniel.

“Mr. Webster, it’s getting late. We should go.”

Only then did Nathaniel look away, as if he was unwilling to give up. He pursed his thin lips.

Nathaniel opened the car door and got into the car.

Nathaniel was so upset that he even felt that it was suffocating in the car.

However, Alfred didn’t know it. After he got into the passenger seat, he started to sigh with emotion, “Mr. Webster, I didn’t expect Ms. Longfellow to become so powerful now. She has actually been personally picked up by the higher-ups of the

Convention!

“Ms. Longfellow used to look obedient, and she didn’t seem to be angry at all. Now she has changed a lot, sassy and elegant. It’s like she has completely changed after getting divorced…”

Hearing his words, Nathaniel felt even more frustrated, and his face darkened obviously.

Alfred realized that he said too much, so he covered his mouth quickly.

“You can shut up if you have nothing else to say. Don’t mention Janet in front of me again. I’m not interested. Don’t forget our mission this time,” Nathaniel said with a cold face.

“Yes, Mr. Webster!” Alfred nodded repeatedly.

Without Alfred’s noise, the car suddenly quieted down.
