My Past is Just Prologue (Janet and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 188

Chapter 188 Her Another Identity
Janet instructed the Legal Affairs Department to quickly draft the contract and let Marco follow up on the contract.
However, three days later, Marco appeared in her office anxiously.
“Ms. Longfellow, Nikki’s agent refused to sign the contract. She said that our shooting date and her crew’s filming date happen to be on the same day. She must protect the interests of the crew.”
Hearing this, Janet frowned slightly.
She had a bad feeling before, afraid that things would change later. So she asked the Legal Affairs Department to draft the contract quickly, but she did not expect something bad really happened.
“Tell Nikki’s agent that the shooting date can be negotiated.”
Marco replied. “I already said it, but her agent said that Nikki will stay in the crew until the end of this month. After that, she has to rush to
the next crew.”
Janet pondered for a moment and felt that something was wrong.
She wouldn’t believe that there was nothing fishy behind such a sudden change, but the most important thing right now was to find someone who could replace Nikki.
Janet had a few alternative artists and immediately asked Marco to contact them. However, none of them were nameless celebrities, so it was difficult to make an appointment with them too.
Marco contacted three in a row. Either their schedule was full, or their free time wasn’t consistent with Janet’s plan. Anyway, no one was
available.
“What can we do now?” Marco asked worriedly. “Ms. Longfellow, why don’t we lower our standards and find a second-tier artist to endorse the app?”
“No!” Janet refused resolutely.
She had great expectations for the APP. If the endorser wasn’t famous, it would lower the APP’s level. The popularity and influence of the early promotion would be affected.
“I will think of a way to deal with this. Go ahead and do your work.” Janet let Marco go first.
In fact, Janet had a good candidate. It was Ernest, a male artist with a good reputation.
She also knew that as long as she asked for his help, Ernest would definitely come to help her without hesitation. However, his schedule would definitely be packed just like that of the first-tier artists. She did not want him to stop doing his work for her.
Apart from that, there was another way out. It was just that she did not want to do that unless it was absolutely necessary.
She was the major shareholder of show business behind the scenes, and if she used this identity, she would not have to worry about not
being able to find a top artist.
As she was thinking, her phone rang. She looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Ann.
Speaking of which, now that the Longfellow Group and the Ann Group jointly developed this APP, Ann should know about it.
So Janet picked up the phone, and before she could speak, Ann took the lead.
“Jill come out and drink.”
Before she could refuse, she was stopped by Ann in advance.
“Don’t tell me you still have work to do. Come out and relax. Our best friends will be there. Are you coming?”
Janet smiled helplessly. “You don’t leave any space for me to refuse you. What else can I say? Send me the address.”
After hanging up, she immediately received a message from Ann. It was a bar not far from the city center. It would only take her ten
minutes to get there.
Janet stood up, stretched herself, and prepared to go to the bar.
Maybe she could find a better solution after relaxation, and she could ask Ann for her opinion.
At the bar..
*Jill here!” Ann waved at her from afar.
Janet saw her at a glance and headed towards her.
“The room is too stuffy, and the atmosphere in the booth is better. Are you fine with that?” Ann asked for her opinion.
Janet smiled and shook her head. Although it was a booth, there was a screen between the two booths. It was okay.
Ann poured her a glass of wine. Seeing that Janet seemed to be a little distracted, she asked, “Why do I feel like you aren’t in a good mood? Did you meet some trouble?”
“No. I found a female artist as our APP’s spokeswoman. I didn’t expect her to stand me up at last.” Janet sipped at the wine and fiddled with the glass in her hand.
“What? Isn’t she too unprofessional Who is it? Why isn’t she forced out of show business?” Ann was filled with righteous indignation.
Janet lowered her eyes. “There is no need to talk about it now. I’m wondering who can replace her. You know that the schedule of those first-tier artists must be full*
Janet told Ann everything, but she didn’t know that the person she didn’t want to see the most was sitting next to the screen. The words she said to Ann were all heard by that person.
