Chapter 199 Will She Come to Pick Him Up?
The bartender was stunned, but Nathaniel had dialed the number.
But Janet didn’t answer the phone. Nathaniel only heard the indifferent voice.
“Sorry, the number you dialed is busy now.”
Nathaniel looked at his phone and laughed at himself. Just when the bartender thought he had given up, he made another call.
Janet didn’t answer the phone, so Nathaniel kept calling her. It was as if he had been bewitched. It seemed that if he couldn’t get through today, he wouldn’t give up.
Janet had just come out of the bathroom when she heard her phone ring. She stepped forward and saw that the caller ID was Nathaniel.
Why did Nathaniel call Janet at this late hour?
Janet hung up the phone.
Nathaniel was a little crazy tonight. He might say something harsh. Janet didn’t want to hear it.
However, Nathaniel kept calling Janet. She hung up, but Nathaniel didn’t give up.
Nathaniel must be mad!
Nathaniel had called Janet five times. She knew that Nathaniel was perseverant and resolute, but it was annoying for him to do this how.
To let Nathaniel give up. Janet answered the phone with a cold face.
It was very noisy on the other end of the phone. Janet could only hear the noisy sound.
Was Nathaniel in a bar?
Nathaniel muttered something, but Janet couldn’t hear him clearly. “You called the wrong person. Since you are drunk, you should call Alfred. If he doesn’t answer the phone, you can call the police. Goodbye!”
Janet was about to hang up the phone, but Nathaniel’s voice became very clear. It was not as deep as his usual voice, but a little childish.
‘Janet, why did you choose someone else but…”
Janet did not hear what Nathaniel said. She didn’t want to know it either.
“Where are you?”
Hearing this, Nathaniel finally stopped talking nonsense. He became sober for a moment and told Janet the address.
“Wait there!”
Janet hung up the phone after she finished her words.
Nathaniel raised his phone and looked at the pile of wine in front of him. He suddenly didn’t want to drink it, and a faint smile appeared on
his lips.
Janet would come!
However, Nathaniel didn’t expect Alfred to come.
Nathaniel was leaning on the sofa to sober up. When he raised his eyes and saw Alfred, his face darkened. Then he raised his hand and
slapped Allred on the head.
“Who asked you to come here?”
Alfred received a call from Janet and rushed over. He was slapped and felt wronged.
“Ms. Longfellow.”
Alfred braced himself and spoke. He saw Nathaniel’s gloomy face and sighed inwardly.
If Nathaniel had known this would happen, why would he have done so in the first place?
Alfred didn’t dare to say this because he was afraid that Nathaniel would beat him up.
Nathaniel didn’t move. After a long time, he let out a cold, hoarse laugh.
Janet didn’t come. It was Nathaniel’s wishful thinking. She didn’t care about him anymore. Even if she knew that he was drunk in the bar,
she chose to ignore him.
