My Past is Just Prologue (Janet and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 207

Chapter 207 The Locating Has Failed

The van drove into a small road. Even though they couldn’t be seen, the tire marks on the ground indicated their whereabouts.

Nathaniel followed the tire marks on the ground and sped all the way to 110 miles per hour.

Half a minute later, he saw a few men at the entrance of an abandoned factory. It seemed they were waiting for him.

This group of kidnappers was not easy to deal with. They were brave and resourceful.

The truth was that although these kidnappers were left behind, the van carrying Janet was not there.

Just now, at the intersection where the tire marks had not disappeared, the yellow-haired man called Jack looked at the road

behind him and suddenly stepped on the brakes. Before the lackeys could react, Jack opened the door and urged them to get

out.

“You guys, see what this man wants to do and stop him. Remember. Watch your mouth. Understand?”

The lackeys looked at each other, and no one dared to go down.

Jack took out a dagger from his pocket and placed it on their necks. His eyes were threatening. “Don’t make me repeat myself. Get down! Since you work for me, I will naturally ensure your safety. It’s just one person. What are you afraid of?”

Several of his subordinates nodded and got out of the car.

The van drove away, leaving only a cloud of dust.

On the other side, after Ernest drove out, he found that Janet, who should have been standing in place waiting for him, was missing. He frowned and called her.

Half a minute later, there was only a cold female voice on the other side of the line.

“Sorry, the number you’ve dialed is busy now…”

Where did she go in the blink of an eye?

Ernest inadvertently turned his head. Suddenly, he saw a phone flashing in the sewer beside his feet. He could not tell the style of the phone, but his intuition told him something had happened to Janet!

He strode back to the security room and grabbed a person on duty. Ernest’s face was frighteningly cold.

“Show me the surveillance video at the door half an hour ago!”

Just as the security guard was about to speak, Ernest called Dawson.

“Hello, Mr. Morrow, this set has been booked by you. The girl who came with me is missing. I suspect she is in danger. Now I

want to check the surveillance footage!”

Since the day Dawson met Ernest, Ernest had been gentle and refined in front of him. Dawson had never seen Ernest lose his temper, so Dawson was shocked. Ernest handed the phone to the security guard.

“You talk to him about this, but now you must show me the surveillance footage. It can’t be delayed!”

The security guard was stupefied and frightened. He could only follow Ernest’s order.

The surveillance footage was clear.

When Ernest and Janet left the set, a few men were smoking nearby while paying attention to their movements. However, Ernest did not notice them at all. He even left Janet alone in the same place.

Damn it!

Janet’s face darkened.

Janet stood there and made a phone call. Just as she was about to turn around, the man behind her covered her mouth and nose until she fainted. The man wrapped her hands and mouth with tape.

Throughout the whole process, the perpetrator was not afraid at all, as if what he was doing was not criminal but ordinary.

After that, he put Janet into a van whose number tag was covered. Then the van sped away.

Ernest’s face darkened.

Janet was really kidnapped, and it had happened in Ernest’s territory!

At that moment, Nigel called. His voice was a little flustered.

“Ernest, did Jill eat with you? Where is she? We didn’t finish our conversation.”
