Chapter 264 What Are You Going To Do?
Janet and Nathaniel stared at each other in the ward. It seemed that they would be at loggerheads immediately.
Just then, there came a knock on the door.
A nurse entered with a cart full of medicine. She checked Janet’s injury while blocking Nathaniel’s gaze and saying to him, “I need to change the dressing
for the patient. Please leave.”
Since Nathaniel remained silent, Janet suppressed the urge to roll her eyes
and sneered, “Mr. Webster, what are you going to do? Didn’t you hear that? I
need to change my dressing.”
“The servants are not here. I have to stay here to take care of you, okay?”
Nathaniel replied in anger.
Janet thought that he just said so to make things difficult for her, so she raised her eyebrows and sneered, “What do you mean? Are you afraid that I’ll
die? Don’t worry. I won’t forget to repay you.”
Nathaniel frowned deeply in an instant. He glared at Janet coldly, working
hard to stop himself from losing his temper.
Janet felt much better after seeing his sullen look. She turned her head and
said in a flat voice, “Hurry up and leave.”
Janet frowned slightly as she waited for a long time but failed to hear
Nathaniel leave and close the door.
Just then, Nathaniel said to the nurse, “You can go out. Leave it to me.”
The blond nurse said with a serious face, “You are not a medical worker. I
can’t let you change the dressing for the patient.”
“Then, you can stand beside,” Nathaniel said impatiently and glanced at the
nurse.
Since the nurse was frightened by him, she didn’t stop him timely.
Nathaniel took the gauze and medicine and then walked closer to Janet.
“Nathaniel, what are you going to do?” Janet asked through her gritted teeth.
Nathaniel overlooked Janet’s words. Clearly, he was not good at dressing
change, but he looked extremely cautious. He stepped forward and opened
Janet’s clothes.
Apart from applying medicine for Janet, he seemed not to think of anything
else. He probably was afraid of annoying Janet or making her feel pain. He
did every step slowly.
Janet looked at Nathaniel, who lowered his head and applied medicine for
her carefully, and couldn’t help being in a trance.
She had taken care of Nathaniel in such a gentle way before. Unfortunately,
the latter let her down.
Thinking of this, Janet was no longer hesitant and lay on the bed.
