Chapter 451 His Expression Changed
Janet led Chitt in. “Mr. Floyd, this is the office prepared for you.”
The sunset spilled in through the floor–to–ceiling windows. They could see the glowing clouds in the sky from a wide view, which looked like a painting from a distance.
On one corner of the long table was a pen holder and engraved seals, as well as several exquisite ornaments.
The reference books were sorted and placed on the bookshelf on the right. Some foreign language magazines were placed on the lower floor.
On the right side of the desk was a lockable cupboard, which seemed to be used for Chitt’s personal items, and there was also coffee thoughtfully prepared inside.
Chitt looked around and nodded with satisfaction.
“It can be seen that Ms. Longfellow is very thoughtful. I like it very much.”
After not seeing Janet answer for a while, Chitt turned his head in surprise and saw her standing in front of the wall in a daze.
Chitt looked over curiously. There was a delicately framed oil painting hanging on the wall.
“Thick strokes, natural light, and shadow, it was really a good painting.”
Chitt sincerely appreciated it. In fact, as long as it was arranged by Janet, even if it was grass? It would be great!
Janet didn’t receive Chitt’s flatter. She muttered softly, “The painting is good. But I don’t remember asking Marco to prepare this…”
“Ms. Longfellow, what did you say?”
Chitt didn’t hear Janet’s words clearly, so he subconsciously asked again.
Marco walked in with the coffee he had just made. Seeing Janet standing in front of the
painting in a daze, he explained, “Ms. Longfellow, I forgot to tell you. Mr. Webster
asked someone to send it before. He asked to put it in this office.”
“Mr. Webster?” Chitt frowned tightly. “Do you mean Nathaniel from the Webster
Group?”
He looked at the oil painting on the wall and felt angry for a moment.
Marco nodded, gesticulating in the room with his fingers. “And these decorations, this projector, and the coffee in the cabinet were all sent by Mr. Webster.”
Every time Marco pointed, Chitt’s expression turned cold.
No wonder, everything in this room was not pleasing to him!
He hadn’t settled with Janet’s ex–husband. How dared Nathaniel come in front of him
first?
Janet stared at Marco dissatisfied. “Did you just accept it when he gave it to you?”
Marco scratched his head. “I think these things are indeed quite good. Especially the projector, it is a limited edition.”
Janet glanced at the high–tech projector and said in an angry tone, “Does the Longfellow Group can’t even pay for a projector?”
“No, I will remove these things immediately!”
Marco waved his hands in fear, and ran towards the projector, ready to take it off.
“Slow down. Just leave it there.”
Janet stopped him. “Calculate the price. Since Chitt said he likes it just now, then let’s keep them. It doesn’t matter who gave it to you. Take my account and give it back.”

“Throw them out.” Chitt’s voice suddenly sounded. He felt disgusted. “These things, as
well as this bad painting, take them away.”
Janet looked at Chitt’s cold face and was confused. “Mr. Floyd, didn’t you like this painting just now?”
Chitt was embarrassed for a moment and then said righteously, “It’s an office. With a projector and oil painting, there is no working atmosphere. People who have stayed in
such an environment for a long time must not want to work!”
Janet was choked, feeling a little more guilty of no reason, not daring to say that there were still toys in her office and a shelf of countless figurines.
Marco looked left and right in embarrassment, not knowing who to listen to.
