My Past is Just Prologue (Janet and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 85

Read My Past is Just Prologue By Louisa Dillon Chapter 85 – Subconsciously Started to Protect Her

At that moment, Nathaniel left the Webster Mansion in a state of distraught. Before he got into the car, his phone rang suddenly in the quiet underground garage.

Looking at the caller ID, Nathaniel hung up without hesitation.

The phone rang again and was hung up again. After repeating this several times, Nathaniel pulled his tie angrily and answered

the call.

“Nathaniel!”

When he answered the phone, Anastasia’s voice was mixed with surprise. She immediately became aggrieved, “Nathaniel, are you angry with me?”

Angry with Anastasia?

Only now did Nathaniel realize that his irritability did not seem to come from Anastasia.

He said calmly with impatience, “What’s the matter?”

Hearing Nathaniel’s bad tone, Anastasia’s mood became bad.

After a while, she spoke in a h**rse voice and said earnestly, “Nathaniel, I want to meet you. My parents don’t want to talk to me, and everyone scolds me on the Internet, I…I don’t know what to do. Nathaniel, I want to meet you, can I?”

“I have a meeting later, I don’t have time.”

Nathaniel started the car, casually put the phone on the phone holder, and spoke indifferently and briefly.

Hearing his indifferent words, Anastasia’s collapsed in an instant. She sat on the floor of the smashed-up bedroom and cried out, sobbing.

“Nathaniel, I was really wrong. It’s all because of Janet. Because she was jealous of me, so she asked her brother to frame me…” “Nathaniel, Janet hurt you so much and ruined your reputation. Don’t you hate her? Don’t you blame her?”

Anastasia questioned unwillingly.

She was not reconciled. Even if she could not marry Nathaniel for the time being, it did not matter. She had other methods. She could find a way to make it up.

“I’m on the eighteenth floor of Zenque Group. I’m sitting by the window. Listen, is there a lot of wind here?”

Anastasia put her mobile phone out of the window, and the sound of the howling wind was clearly heard by Nathaniel.

“After such a thing happened, I don’t want to live anymore. You want to protect the woman who made me like this. What’s the point of my living? Nathaniel, is it that I should not have saved your life back then? I wouldn’t have had to expect you to save my life?”

Anastasia’s tone was vague and clear, especially when she mentioned the life-saving grace back then. Nathaniel could help but

feel moved.

“Anastasia, don’t be stup*d!”

Nathaniel glanced at the phone, it was 9:30 pm.

Anastasia was overjoyed. She knew that Nathaniel would never ignore her death!

She intentionally slowed down her tone and said quietly, “Nathaniel, I want to see you. If you don’t come, I’ll jump down!”
