No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 515

Noelle had no intention of apologizing whatsoever. But with Brittany making a scene, the charity sales event was at risk of being canceled and becoming a joke that would be talked about for times to come.

Donovan stared at Noelle while Xenia continued fanning the flames from the side. "Noelle, it's obviously your fault for not planning this event thoroughly. Hurry up and apologize to Mrs. Parham, will you? I believe that Mrs. Parham will forgive you if you just apologized."

If Noelle were to offend Brittany, Xenia would not be able to curry any more favor with Brittany in the future. Xenia cursed at Noelle for being pretentious within her heart.

In the end, Noelle stepped up to Brittany and apologized. "I'm sorry, Mrs. Parham. I had not thought things through. If you're dissatisfied with the desserts, I'll prepare some new ones just for you right away."

Brittany's eyes were filled with disdain. She was rather disgusted by the Liddell family's bootlicking attitude. "Just for me, you say? Are you trying to show everyone that I'm a troublesome guest?"

Xenia quickly explained, "Mrs. Parham, is there anything we could do to make up for you? Noelle will do as you say!"

"Is that so?" Brittany glanced at the piece of dessert fallen on the ground and then looked back up at Noelle. "Didn't you say that the desserts are super delicious?

"Why don't you pick it up and eat it then? Do that, and I'll forget about how you've humiliated me just now."

Noelle looked at the dirty piece of dessert on the floor. She could tell that Brittany was deliberately making things difficult for her.

Donovan frowned and said, "Mrs. Parham, isn't this a bit too much?"

Frank came up from behind and stood in front of Noelle. "Mrs. Parham, Noelle had only made an honest mistake. If news about your demands were to spread, what do you think people will think of you?"

Brittany's expression darkened instantly. "Is this how the Liddell family apologizes? I guess there's nothing more to be discussed between us."

Xenia then spoke up. "Donovan, say something!"

She then picked up the dessert on the ground and placed it back on a plate before handing it to Noelle. "The middle part should still be clean. Just take a single bite, Noelle. I'm sure that Mrs. Parham wouldn't be so particular about it, right?"

Brittany smirked and replied, "That's right. I'm not that petty."

She wanted to see just how far the Liddell family would go to please the Parhams.
