No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 535

Noelle's aggressive behavior stunned everyone in the office.

Donovan's expression turned unpleasant as he saw the sanitary pads scattered on his desk. "What are you doing with these? Don't you feel embarrassed?"

Noelle retorted, "What's so embarrassing about sanitary pads? You men don't seem embarrassed when you buy condoms."

Donovan's face fell. "Stop making a scene! If you have something to say, do it at home. Can't you see I'm in a meeting?"

Several executives were present in the room. One of them muttered, "Mr. Liddell, I'm not superstitious. But this seems like a bad omen."

"Exactly. Back in my hometown, women are considered bad luck when they are on their period. They're not allowed in religious places due to this, too. And there are many taboos surrounding them. Otherwise, they bring misfortune to the men's household."

"Mr. Liddell, your sister is too reckless. How can she just throw sanitary pads out in the open?"

The murmurs only fueled Donovan's anger. He pointed at Noelle. "Get out! And take this stuff with you. Throw it away!"

Noelle picked up a pack of sanitary pads and scoffed, "Haven't your mothers, wives, or any women in your family used these before? Have you never seen them?"

"Of course they have, but no one waves them around in public!"

"Yes, they should be kept hidden. It's bad luck if people see them."

Noelle ripped open a pad, strode over, and slapped it straight onto one executive's mouth. "Well, you're doomed then. Your whole life is over."

The executive yelled. "You bitch! You…"

Two other executives quickly pulled him back. "Calm down! She's the Liddell family's youngest daughter."

Noelle glanced at the two who had intervened. "Oh, I almost forgot about you guys."

She slapped a pad onto each of their mouths as well. They paled as if she had just cursed them.

Noelle sneered. "Don't forget, the place where menstrual blood comes from is the same place you were born from. If you think periods are disgusting, then you are, too, since you came from the same place."
