No Remarriage for us Stay Away (Lenora and Zachary) novel Chapter 462

Chapter 462 Deserved It
Alice looked up, her eyes widening at the chaotic scene before her. Isla had been dragged to the ground by her hair. Sophia had swiftly bound Isla's hands with a rope, rendering her unable to fight back as her legs gave way beneath her.

Lenora wasted no time. She straddled Isla, gripping the latter's chin. Without hesitation, she delivered two sharp slaps to her face.

This was her moment—a golden opportunity to settle both new and old grievances without holding back.

Alice was at a loss for words. Caesare's plane is about to land, and I certainly don't want to meet him with a swollen, red face from being slapped.

“Just you wait! I swear I'll kill you! Let me go! I'll have my uncle shoot you to death! Argh! Fay, you despicable wretch!” Isla wailed, her voice piercing.

For the first time in her life, Isla had tasted such humiliation and injustice. She swore she wouldn't rest until she had avenged this insult. Determined to reclaim her dignity, she resolved to have her uncle intervene and throw them behind bars, sentencing them to death.

Isla's loud cries had drawn the attention of a few passersby. When their eyes fell on the wrecked Maserati, they quickly realized this was no ordinary altercation. Choosing caution, they kept their distance, merely observing from afar.

Among the onlookers, someone began filming the scene. However, Lenora remained unbothered. Isla's relentless shrieking and threats about involving her uncle to throw them in prison only worked to her advantage. Lenora knew that with Matthew's name dragged into the incident, he wouldn't dare let the footage circulate online—it would only harm his reputation.

Sophia couldn't help but say, “It's unbelievable how stubborn you are!”

Alice, still in the car, watched until Lenora was almost done teaching Isla a lesson. Without hesitation, she grabbed a shard of glass from the dashboard and dragged it across her palm. A crimson streak immediately appeared on her fair skin.

Tossing the shard aside, she pushed the door open and stepped out, trying to chase Sophia and Lenora away. “Stop it!”

Lenora knew when to stop. She stepped back and dusted her hands nonchalantly. Picking up the safety hammer from the ground, she cast a cold gaze down at Isla, who was sprawled helplessly on the pavement.

“Isla,” she warned icily, “try pulling any more stunts, and it won't just be a few slaps next time.”

After she finished speaking, she and Sophia left side by side.

When they were alone in the elevator, Sophia said curiously, “Lenora, I feel like I've seen the other woman in the car before...”

“Yes, her name is Alice, the woman in the second photo I sent you. She's the one with Zephyr. I'm surprised she came back, too and even seems to be close to Isla,” said Lenora.

The first photo was a snapshot she had taken inadvertently during work, but it didn't capture the woman's face.

Sophia frowned as it dawned on her. “I was wondering why the name Isla sounded familiar. I remember now. Zephyr once made a call in front of me, calling the person on the other end of the line 'Isla'.”

“Was it the time you told me that Zephyr had a girlfriend?”

“Yes. I asked him if it was his girlfriend, and he didn't deny it.”

“Well, I'll be d*mned. Zephyr sure is a playboy. Messing around with two good friends at once...” Lenora remarked in awe.

Sophia did not respond.

“Isla, are you all right?” Alice helped Isla to her feet, untying the rope on her wrist.

“Fay! You wretches! I will make sure you pay!” Isla screamed, her eyes filled with pure hatred.

Her cheeks were flushed and swollen, her hair a tangled mess, leaving her looking utterly miserable.

Spotting the bystanders still gathered around, recording with their phones, Isla fixed them with a menacing glare and snapped, “What are you filming? Keep it up, and I'll make sure you lose those hands!”

The passersby were rendered speechless.

They saw Isla being struck and initially assumed she was the victim. Sympathizing with her, they decided to film the incident as evidence. However, the moment she erupted in anger, shouting threats, the bystanders quickly changed their minds. They hastily deleted the footage and dispersed, wanting no part in the escalating chaos.

With her temper, she deserved to be hit!

The car was no longer drivable. Isla planned to have it towed for repairs once she got back, so she made a call for someone to pick her up.
