Chapter 478 DNA Test
“What on earth happened?”

A few days ago, Zephyr was in Jacaster, but he wasn't constantly keeping tabs on what Isla was doing. She was out and about every day, and Zephyr simply thought she was just having fun.

Sophia was not one to gossip for no reason. If she said something, it was because she had some insider knowledge.

“It's a long story. It all started with Zachary's aunt, Tamara, who adopted an orphaned baby girl abroad, who is now five years old. Last year, Nora had a miscarriage, and it just so happened that Mdm. Fuller had some matters to attend to, so she sent the little girl back to her home country for Zachary to look after. “Right, I'm not exactly sure about the details, but it seems related to Mdm. Fuller. From the beginning, she knew about the girl's identity and she never liked Nora. Anyway, Nora is now staying at my place, and she is having issues with Zachary again.”

Zephyr voiced his skepticism. “How are you so sure that the child is Zachary and Isla's? Has a DNA test been done?”

“There was indeed a test. It seemed like Zachary himself had sent someone to a hospital run by Fuller Group to do it. The results should be fairly reliable. When I first heard this news, I couldn't believe it, let alone Nora.”

Zephyr's brow furrowed slightly, a solemn glint flashing in his eyes.

In that case, the DNA test is probably accurate. Carrying a child to term takes ten months; concealing it certainly isn't an easy task.

Thinking back, Zephyr recalled that Isla was attending a private university in Navarre six years ago. She had spent more than half the year there. If she had wanted to hide something, she might have actually been able to pull it off.

Back then, Zephyr had just arrived at the Wilson family and wasn't familiar with Isla. He didn't pay particular attention to her and couldn't recall anything peculiar about her during that time.

Falling silent, he knew he needed to discuss this matter with Isla once he returned home.

Sophia lamented, “Your question suggests that Isla's parents and her uncle's family had no idea that she had a child. Did she manage to deceive them all? How incompetent of them! But then again, it does seem like something Isla would do. The child stayed at my house once. She was incredibly smart and adorable. It's hard to believe that Isla is her biological mother. I just hope she doesn't grow up to be like Isla.”

Sophia made no attempt to hide her disdain for Isla in front of Zephyr.

“Indeed, her family is unaware. Up to this point, Isla hasn't spoken to them about this matter...”

Regarding this spoiled younger sister of his, Zephyr was momentarily at a loss for words. “She's been spoilt since she was a child. If you can, try to avoid her in the future, and most importantly, don't let yourself be bullied by her.”

Sophia raised an eyebrow. “Why aren't you asking me why I said that? Or has Isla tattled to you already?”

“She told me about the incident you guys had on the plane and also about how you and Lenora smashed her car not too long ago.”

“Wow, seems like you two are pretty close, huh? So, do you think I did the right thing?” Sophia asked with a smile as she looked at him.

Zephyr chuckled. “If I hadn't stopped her, she would have been back to bother you guys long ago.”

“So, I suppose I should be thanking you then?”

“I've always been a generous person, so there's no need for thanks. However, if you insist on expressing your gratitude, then...”

“Then, I won't do it. There's no reason for me to feel guilty.”

Rendered speechless, Zephyr chuckled before changing the topic. “We're about to reach the food street.”

As they approached the food street, it was around eight in the evening. Thus, the place was bustling with people.

Zephyr took a drove around the nearby streets, eventually finding a parking spot. Once the car was parked, the two of them got out and walked toward the food street, embarking on their culinary adventure.

As a major city in Nusridge, Cutvine boasted a wide variety of local snacks. Some of these, including blue cheese fritters,, blue cheese fritters, pizza, and shrimp cocktail, were so renowned that they were known across the entire country.

Sophia had been to Cutvine for work previously. However, due to her tight schedule, she only had the chance to explore other areas. This was her first time visiting this particular food street.
