30 Days Until He Loses Me by Aaren Collins novel Chapter 25

Chapter 25

Felicia paused in her steps and turned to look Joshua up and down.

She had never thought her judgment could have been so poor.

Where did he get the confidence to believe that this child was his?

And where did he get the confidence to think she would give birth to his child?

Did Joshua still believe that she loved him so deeply she could not extricate herself?

Heh

Felicia took Abigail’s hand and got into the nanny car.

Joshua tried to catch up and say something, but the driver stopped him: Sir, please step aside, we are leaving.

JoshTim is out.

Whitney watched her son come out from the exit, carefully tugging at Joshua’s sleeve, while Joshua stared helplessly at the car as it drove farther away.

The pain in his heart deepened.

Five years ago, he had failed to recognize his own feelings.

He had let Felicia down.

Five years ago, when he saw news about Felicia and went to look for her, he realized, only after searching all of Portland. and failing to find her, that he had already become dependent on her during their four years together.

Every morning, she prepared exquisite breakfasts for him.

She matched his clothes and ties for him.

She never asked about things he did not want to talk about.

Even the provocative messages Whitney had sent her since returning to the countryshe had always endured them.

He suddenly remembered that countdown calendar.

That calendar was originally meant to count down to their wedding, but now, thinking back, it was actually counting down to her decision to leave him for good.

She must have been utterly heartbroken at that time.

The countdown was also a chance for him.

He had not seized it.

But this time, he would not let it happen again.

Since Felicia had returned with his child, he would never let her disappear from his world again!

Josh

Seeing Joshua still staring at the car, Whitney called out to him again.

Felicia looked out the window at Whitney, who was so humble and submissive in front of Joshua, as if she saw herself from five years ago.

So, did unforgettable love, once it entered marriage, eventually become the woman who got discarded after the excitement?

Did he stop cherishing her once he had her?

The pain in Joshua’s eyes from years ago, when he could not get what he wanted, still seemed like yesterday upon careful reflection.

Indeed, she had been blind back then.

Felicia withdrew her gaze, feeling her hand gently tugged by a small hand: Mommy, do you not

like them?

Huh?

Was she really that obvious?

Abigail blinked her big, watery eyes, as if she had guessed what Felicia’s eyes were saying: Mommy stopped smiling after seeing them.

Mommy smiles happily when she sees people she likes, just likeevery time she sees Abby and Daddy!

Felicia was stunned: Does Mommy smile happily when she sees Daddy?

Yes, yes, Abigail even gets jealous!

Abigail crossed her arms seriously; usually, at times like this, Mommy would come to comfort her.

But seeing Mommy so distracted, Abigail let her anger fade on her own.

Did she like Gideon?

Felicia shook her head.

She did not know.

After five years together, perhaps she did have some fondness for him.

Abigail said she smiled happily whenever she saw Gideon.

She must have been mistaken.

How could she possibly like him?

She had always just regarded Gideon as an older brother.

Thinking of Gideon’s passionate gaze, Felicia looked out the window, unwilling to dwell on it any longer.

Perhaps some things could be avoided if she did not face them.

Daddy, Mommy.

Timothy Crawford dragged his suitcase out of the exit by himself. When he saw Joshua, his eyes flickered and then grew calm.

He made himself walk steadily over to Joshua and Whitney.

He tightly controlled his urge to hug his parents.

He could not.

Mommy had said Daddy did not like naughty children.

He was the future heir of the Crawford Group and had to be steady.
